We're delighted that Empeiria Training is now delivering sensory processing awareness training to Cheshire and Merseyside ICB staff.
As health and care services continue to embrace more person-centred and neurodiversity-informed approaches, understanding sensory processing has never been more important. Increased awareness can help staff recognise how sensory experiences may influence a person's communication, engagement, wellbeing and access to services. By developing this understanding, professionals are better equipped to make small but meaningful adjustments that can have a significant impact on the people they support.
Greater awareness can lead to more inclusive, responsive, and person-centred support – making a real difference to individuals, families, and communities.
What is your understanding of sensory processing, and how do you think increased awareness could improve services and support?
