Varied week this week. We have a team carrying out Himalayan Balsam on the River Dee, a team finishing off some newt fence install prior to a trapping period, a few bat surveys to do and also this project to install a leaky dam structure to retain some water to create a marsh area within a stream where the pond dam was washed away. Fun times

Creating a revetment on a bend on the River Clywedog outside of Wrexham to protect a bank that is being heavily undercut that is holding up a farm bridge. The revetment will grow and deflect the power of the water back into the channel

With it being Swift Awareness Week this week, I thought I would show off our new HabiSabi swift boxes installed on our new office.

Swallows and House Martins are already breeding at the farm so hoping for Swifts too.

Surely if that happens that gives us the excuse to build a sand bank for Sand Martins to get all four species in one place.
