A mere 2000 bottles of this iconic wh**ky were ever released, so this presents a rare opportunity to get your hands on one!

The second edition of the legendary Black Bowmore, it was distilled in 1964 and matured in Oloroso sherry casks for 30 years, imparting a rich, nutty and complex flavour, before being bottled in 1994.

Situated on the isle of Islay in the Inner Hebrides, the Bowmore distillery is one of the oldest in Scotland and is said to have been established in 1779. Lying on the South Eastern shore of Loch Indaal, the distillery is owned by Beam Suntory who also own the Auchentoshan, Glen Garioch, Laphroaig and Ardmore distilleries and produce the Teacher's Highland Cream blend.

An 8 year-old expression from the award-winning Highland Park distillery in Orkney, this distinctive bottle dates from the 1970s.

Often called, ‘The greatest all-rounder in the world of malt wh**ky’, Highland Park embraces and celebrates the unique, subtly smoky flavour of its secret ingredient – Orkney heathered peat.

Based in Kirkwall, Orkney, Highland Park is the most northerly wh**ky distillery in Scotland. It’s a unique location, characterised by stunning natural beauty and a creative, resourceful spirit – all of which are poured into every dram of Highland Park!

The first of our feature bottles for this month's auction is a real show-stopper! Distilled way back in 1954, this 62 year-old Glenfarclas single malt Scotch forms part of the Pagoda Series. A mere 50 bottles of the Collector’s Gold Edition of the Pagoda Ruby Reserve have been produced, of which this is bottle number 1!

The bottle alone is a work of art. The elegant Glencairn decanter is made from hand-blown lead crystal. In yet another first, this bottle represents the first time Glencairn have ever created glassware using rubies.

The age statement on each decanter is adorned with 34 rubies, while the collar is gold plated and individually numbered.

Family-owned for 5 generations, Glenfarclas produce a traditional Highland malt with a heavy sherry influence from their distillery in Ballindalloch, Banffshire.
