At 14:10 on the Centre Stage, we invite you to join our Ambassador Panel, where leaders in logistics will discuss critical issues shaping the future of our sector.

The panel will feature Clare Bottle, Lynn Parnell, Mike Daly, and Mike Sacker, who will explore the key challenges facing warehouse and logistics operators in 2025. They will also share their reasons for becoming Transaid Ambassadors and highlight their personal experiences in the role.

After passing my CITB “Managers & Professionals HS&E” exam again earlier in the year my CSCS card is now renewed for the next 5 years.
Nice to get rid of the card with a photo of me with my Covid face mask around my neck. 😂

Today we started work a bit late as we took time out to go to a local restaurant for breakfast; as this morning marked 25 years since I left a full time job and started Logistics Partners.
Where has that time gone?
And thanks to the over 50 companies who have worked with us, some on multiple projects.

I try to support my customers as much as possible; so i often become their customer too. It also helps with getting a true insight into their e-commerce operation.
And with Craft Buddy Ltd having a kit with my favourite bear 🐻🧳🍊 and a London bus I couldn’t resist. 😊

Today is about action so here is my IWD pledge for this year. “I will challenge gender stereotypes, discrimination & bias”.
And today I am proudly wearing my “Equality Hurts No one” T-shirt in the sunshine.

Yesterday I passed my CITB Health, Safety & Environment Managers and Professionals test again, ready to renew my CSCS card later this year. Always good to get the "You have passed" piece of paper. 😊
And this time I had company at the test centre as Kieron Parnell was with me to sit the test (and passed as well) so that he can get his first CSCS card as he does more Airborne Insights work at Construction sites.

The fear of change so often stops change happening.
If we don’t change we are not moving forward.
And in the world of technology it often means we are moving backwards as our competitors adopt new systems and processes.
Yes change takes effort and money, and needs to be done in a way that acknowledges and understands the risk of change.

One of my most frequently asked questions is “How do we get the workforce to adopt change?” I actually find that part of a project rewarding.

In over 30 years of implementing change, in logistics and supply chain, of course I have come across a lot of resistance to change.
But that shouldn’t stop a project.
Key to success is understanding the desired result of any change, the pain points and how everyone will be affected by the change (positive and negative).
Then listening to and working with those to be affected throughout the project.

I have multiple examples of people, that were resistant to change in their own job, coming to me after a go live to thank me for “pushing them & working with them” on the change…as they can now see the huge benefit of the change.

So don’t Ignore the fear, listen to it and act on it, but don’t let it stop change as that stops innovation.
