CONVICTED | WARRANT EXECUTED. CASE CLOSED.
On 24th April 2025 at Uxbridge Magistrates’ Court, TM Eye concluded a case that many would have allowed to drift.
We didn’t.
⸻
THE DEFENDANT
Sunny Bhandal
The court heard he had been in the UK for over two decades as an undocumented migrant, with a long history of offending and no lawful means of support.
⸻
THE CASE
This matter began on 27th September 2024 at H&M, where Bhandal:
* Stole £399.92 worth of clothing
* Used a foil-lined bag to defeat security
* Admitted on BWV he was stealing to fund a drug habit
* Was already linked to multiple previous thefts
The evidence was clear and compelling:
* CCTV
* Body worn video
* Witness statements
* Full recovery of stolen goods
Police did not attend.
TM Eye took the case forward.
⸻
THE SYSTEM TESTED
Bhandal:
* Failed to attend court
* Ignored probation requirements
* Continued offending
Like many prolific offenders, he relied on delay and non-compliance.
That only works if no one follows it up.
⸻
THE RESULT
After arrest on 21st April, he was brought before the court and:
✔️ Pleaded guilty to all offences
✔️ Sentenced to 8 weeks immediate custody (concurrent)
✔️ Made subject to a 5-year Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO)
The court recognised the pattern:
Persistent theft to sustain drug and alcohol abuse.
⸻
WHY THIS CASE MATTERS
This is bigger than one offender.
It highlights:
* The gap between offending and enforcement
* The reality of repeat offenders operating unchecked
* The importance of private prosecutions as a safeguard when others don’t act
⸻
THE MESSAGE
You can ignore court.
You can avoid probation.
You can disappear for a while.
But if the case is pursued properly — you will be brought back.
⸻
FOR RETAILERS
A 5-year CBO is now in force.
If Bhandal:
* Enters banned premises, or
* Refuses to leave when directed
➡️ That is a criminal offence. Act immediately.
⸻
TM Eye doesn’t walk away from cases.
We see them through.
