UK aerospace partners pledge £188m investment in hydrogen-powered aviation. 🛩️

It’s great to see major OEMs and operators backing hydrogen as a real route to decarbonising flight.

As programmes move from testing into application, the focus is shifting to how the supply chain enables new propulsion systems through precision engineering, materials and scalable manufacturing.

We’re looking forward to seeing how investments like this and continued progress in hydrogen aviation shape the industry and drive demand across the supply chain at Farnborough International Exhibition & Conference Centre this July, where we’ll be on Stand 1320 with Midlands Aerospace Alliance.

We’re heading over on the 10th to spend two days catching up with customers and suppliers, while getting a closer look at how programmes, platforms and supply chains are evolving across the industry.

We’re looking for an 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 (late shift) to join our quality team at our Alcester site, supporting the inspection of components to ensure they meet strict customer and industry requirements.

This is a key role focused on maintaining accuracy, traceability and compliance across all stages of manufacture.

𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀:
• Dimensional and visual inspection of components against drawings and specs
• First-off, last-off, in-process & final inspection checks
• Identification & reporting of non-conforming products
• Working in line with ISO 9001, AS9100 & internal quality standards

X-59 returns to flight! ✈️

Great to see the X-59 back in the air and moving into its next phase of testing. It’s a good example of how fast aerospace is evolving right now, with testing, software and design all working together to keep pushing performance forward.

We’re proud to support programmes like this with highly complex fabricated and machined components, and we’re looking forward to seeing more of these developments at the Farnborough International Airshow in July - you’ll find us on Stand 1320 with Midlands Aerospace Alliance.

We’re working on joining key aerospace and industrial components using a mix of techniques: manual, automatic and fully robotic TIG, and resistance spot welding.

Each process is chosen to suit the part, ensuring the joints are strong, precise and ready to perform under demanding conditions.

We're looking for an 𝗡𝗗𝗧 𝗟𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹 𝟮 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗻 to join our quality team at our Alcester site! 📣

This role plays a vital part in ensuring products meet strict customer and industry standards through accurate, non-destructive testing and inspection.

𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀:
• Perform DPI & visual inspection in line with procedures
• Interpret & evaluate test results against defined acceptance standards
• Ensure NDT equipment is maintained, calibrated & fit for use
• Produce accurate test reports & maintain full traceability

The ILA Berlin - Pioneering Aerospace Air Show is just around the corner and we’re looking forward to seeing what’s coming through across aerospace and defence this year. ✈️

From new aircraft and platform announcements through to how suppliers are supporting real programme demand and delivery, it’s a good chance to see where things are really at across the industry and what’s starting to take shape for the years ahead.

itpaero agreement expands support for PW1500G and PW1900G engines. 🌟

A strong example of how the aerospace aftermarket continues to evolve, with more focus on advanced repair capability and long-term fleet support across the GTF programme.

As engine programmes mature, the ability to deliver complex component repairs at scale is becoming just as important as manufacturing new parts.
