Job Description:
As a Security Officer for AISS Ltd you will be working on a government construction site and will be responsible for the efficient and effective service of all aspects of physical security. You will have pre-scheduled shifts on a regular 4 on, 2 off shift pattern which encourages your work life balance.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Under the direction of the duty Operations Supervisor, to carry out security duties as directed, including routine patrolling and alarm response in order to actively discourage theft & Vandalism, including:
- Undertaking a dynamic risk assessment.
Monitoring and continuously reporting, using communications, back to the Operations Control Room.
- Implementing approved emergency plans and procedures, laid out in SOP 001.
- Undertaking the handover of responsibility to oncoming AISS Security Officers.
- To carry out security duties at any designated site as directed including routine patrolling and alarm response in order to actively discourage theft, vandalism and protect public buildings, assets, and spaces.
- To maintain contact with the Operations Room, including with the duty Operations Supervisor.
- To respond to the Operations Room on request, to assist or investigate problems or incidents reported to them.
- To respond, as directed, to all alarm activations and reset as required. To keep an accurate record of all incidents, occurrences, and observations on security, resilience, and safety matters.
- To liaise with all security, Emergency Services, other agencies, and members of the public and assist as necessary.
- To be responsible for the collection and delivery of keys, reports and mail pouches, and other items.
- To lock and unlock premises as per relevant Service Level Agreements and be responsible for keys to designated sites.
- To drive a designated vehicle in accordance with AISS Code of Practice and ensuring an accurate logged record of all journeys made and destinations visited.
- In accordance with approved safe systems of work, to control and monitor vehicle and pedestrian movement.
- To participate, as directed, in exercises to test the clients Emergency planning arrangements.
- To work on a 24-hour rotating shift pattern, to wear a uniform and personal protective equipment as directed.
