CEBELBRATING 5 YEARS OF OPERATION IN THE US

Our US office opened in June 2021, and five years later it has become an established and important part of the Hewshott group. Building a business in a new market from the ground up is no small undertaking, and the progress made over those five years is something Brandon and everyone who has contributed to the US business should be extremely proud of.

What does AV look like during construction? It begins long before equipment arrives on site.

Effective audiovisual systems start with coordinated design. AV needs to be integrated with the wider project team from the outset, not treated as an afterthought.

At Hewshott, we work closely with architects, engineers and specialist consultants throughout the design and construction process to ensure technology is considered as part of the overall building solution. By coordinating with other disciplines early, we help minimise clashes, reduce project risk and support smoother project delivery.

The result is AV infrastructure that supports the building's function from day one and delivers a seamless experience for end users.

Last week, Felipe attended INTER-NOISE 2026 in Adelaide, the 55th International Congress and Exposition on Noise Control Engineering.

The congress brought together acousticians, researchers, industry professionals and organisations from Australia and around the world to share current research, practical experience and new developments across acoustics, noise and vibration.

For Felipe, it was a valuable opportunity to explore new ideas across areas including building and environmental acoustics, measurement and modelling, sound perception, and noise and vibration control, while hearing how others are approaching both emerging and everyday challenges within the industry.

Beyond the technical sessions, the week provided a great opportunity to connect with the wider Australian acoustics community, meet professionals from around the world, exchange experiences and ideas, and build new industry relationships.

Felipe has returned to Perth with new perspectives, new connections and plenty of ideas to bring into our ongoing work at Hewshott.
