I’m often asked what a business consultant actually does...

I’ve spent 16+ years building and selling a family business, now I help SMEs and family firms do the same. Here’s where I step in:

Fix the numbers: Cash flow, margins, broken models, we find the leaks and fix them.

Grow sales: Better strategy, better customers, stronger sales teams.

Plan succession: Smooth transitions that protect your business and your legacy.

Strengthen leadership: Align your team and focus on what actually drives growth.

I am an Essex based and love to meet and network with other business owners, so give me a follow for regular business tips and advice, and I will follow you. :)

If you need further business support with any of the above, drop me a message for a chat.

If a potential customer can't afford your product or service, what do you do?

You can either say, “Sorry, too bad,” and you lose out on the sale.
Or
You can provide multiple payment options.

Nowadays, there are multiple ways for customers to pay for a product or service that they need. Make sure you offer more than one method to avoid losing out on the sale.

And that is my 31 sales tips throughout March, finished! 🎆

As a person in sales, this is probably one of the most challenging tips to follow at times.

In today's sales tip, I share a personal story about how one of my employees faced a challenging and rude client, yet despite this, they managed to keep this tip in mind, resulting in the prospect calling back to apologise.

Have you ever faced something similar? Or have you even been that rude person on the other end of the phone (I'm sure we all have, at least once...?)

Let me know your thoughts and keep an eye out for the last few of my sales tip videos this month!

I have been sharing a sales tip every day through out March, check them out on my profile.

Complaints are inevitable.

But are you guilty of running away and burying your head in the sand?

Or do you face them head-on?

Most customers will understand that things can go wrong. But how you deal with complaints can ultimately be the deciding factor for what customers think of you and your business, for better or worse.

Let me know your thoughts and feel free to share any stories where you have complained or you have dealt with a complaint!

You're wrong to think your clients are sitting around thinking about you and your business all day, every day.

Ignore regular contact with your customers, and as people’s roles change and people come and go, you will be forgotten and replaced.

Stay relevant with your contacts with regular emails, calls, or even social media to stay at the forefront of their thoughts.

What do you do once you have nothing left to sell or provide to a client, they have given you recommendations, AND they have given you a lovely 5-star review...?

Now's the time to ask for a case study of this very successful story.

A case study can be in a range of formats, including written with photos of the project or interview style video with the client. Whatever format you choose, case studies are an excellent form of marketing to add to your website, social media, and for future use cases to attract new clients.

When was the last time you asked a client for a case study?

Be honest… when was the last time that you asked your client for a Google Review?

It does not have to be a Google Review, it can be any of your preferred platforms where your customers will find you. But more 5-star Google Reviews help with your business’s Google ranking and of course help when new prospects are looking into working with you.

Now that you have finished reading this… here's your reminder to go and message one client asking for a review!
