That Scratching in Your Loft? It Might Not Be What You Think.

If you're hearing scurrying or gnawing sounds above your ceiling especially at dawn there's a good chance you have grey squirrels in your roof space. It's one of the most common calls we get right across the Cotswolds, and it's not something to ignore.

Grey squirrels have a constant need to gnaw, and electrical wiring or pipes in lofts can be unfortunately damaged. As they chew they can cause real issues that pose a serious fire or flood risk — damage that often goes unnoticed until it's too late.

Their powerful teeth can cause damage to roof timbers, joists, water tanks, pipework, and roof tiles — as well as destroying loft insulation and stored belongings.
