🌟 Networking Highlights from This Week! 🌟

This week I had the pleasure of attending two very different networking events — and wow, what a fantastic reminder of how varied and valuable networking can be!

First up was TOP Pershore, where I stepped in as a guest substitute for Sara Cresswell from AlphaQuad, who couldn’t make it. The group is lively, fun, and refreshingly collaborative. While we still do our 60-second introductions, it’s far from staid or overly formal — it’s really about supporting each other and working together, not just trying to sell. Bert from Diamond Electrics’ Q&A was both interesting and delivered in a friendly, easy-going way that kept the energy just right.

The next day I switched gears and headed to The Business Builder Brunch — a lively, predominantly women’s networking event (but not always) focused on learning and growing together. We had a brilliant session from Esther Partridge-Warner on supercharging our LinkedIn profiles, diving into how to boost engagement and really build that powerful ‘know, like, trust’ factor by actively commenting on posts from people we want to connect with. It was a real reminder that networking today is about meaningful digital engagement as much as face-to-face chats.

So, two events, two styles — one collaborative and community-driven, the other workshop-focused and growth-oriented — both packed with value and fresh ideas. Whether you prefer a vibrant, supportive group or a skill-building session, there’s something for everyone in networking.

Brilliant morning at Kingsway House today!

I had such a great time running a session on how to identify your ideal customer and choose the right marketing channels — as part of a business growth workshop hosted by the amazing Steve Ennis. Thanks so much, Steve, for inviting me to be part of it!

We looked at:
👉 What makes a customer truly ideal
👉 How to build a simple, focused profile
👉 Why your audience’s behaviour should shape your marketing choices
👉 And how to stop spreading yourself too thin across too many channels

The big takeaway?
You don’t need to be everywhere.
You just need to be where your customers are — and show up in a way that makes sense to them. When you do that, your marketing becomes easier, more effective, and way less overwhelming.

Back in the (Networking) Room!

After what feels like far too long, I finally made it back to one of my favourite networking events — and wow, I’d forgotten how much I’d missed it!

This time I went along to support a great friend and collaborator who was presenting on her business Citrus Web creating Wix websites and giving some excellent tips on how to boost your Google rankings. Such a good session — practical, insightful, and full of those little golden nuggets that make you think, “Why didn’t I do this sooner?”

It was such a buzz being in a room full of energy, ideas and entrepreneurial spirit. I caught up with a few familiar faces (always lovely!) and had some great first-time conversations too.
