It’s time to announce our Employee of the Month for September!

This month’s very worthy winner has racked up some impressive stats, including taking the title for most calls answered at almost 1100! That would be an impressive number on its own, but September was also our busiest ever month.

So, step into the spotlight…Ben! ⭐

Somehow between all those calls, Ben has also been a beacon of team support, has volunteered to tackle some new challenges and his brilliant customer service has earned him high praise over on our Trustpilot page too. What a month – and what star!

We set a record in September 🎉

769 new organisations registered with Care Check last month - our biggest month yet. And one sector stood out in particular: 16% of those new organisations came from education.

The DBS's own September breakdown backs this up too: more than a quarter of all the DBS applications we processed last month were from the education sector alone.

Why the surge? Early September brought two major shifts for schools and colleges: the removal of the Supervision Exemption, and the update to Keeping Children Safe in Education 2026 - both putting safer recruitment firmly in focus.

We're proud to have been there to support so many education providers getting their processes right, exactly when it mattered most. A huge thank you to our team for keeping up with the demand without missing a beat.

🔥 A huge thank you to our Fire & Rescue Services 🚒❤️

With the recent heatwave and the number of fires breaking out across our area, we want to take a moment to recognise the incredible work being carried out by Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service, alongside all the other Fire & Rescue Services and emergency crews working tirelessly to keep our communities safe.

In extreme heat and incredibly challenging conditions, crews are working around the clock tackling fires, protecting homes, businesses, wildlife and our countryside all while putting their own safety on the line.

As a team that is proud to support Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service with their DBS checks, we see just a small part of the work that goes on behind the scenes to support such an important service.

To every firefighter, control room operator, support team member, volunteer and emergency service colleague involved: thank you. 👏

Your dedication, bravery and relentless hard work do not go unnoticed.

The A Team! 🌟

We've had a record-breaking year so far at Care Check Ltd - completing more checks, welcoming more registrations, and growing our team more than ever before.

Every single team member plays an important role in our success. From answering customer calls and supporting clients via Live Chat, to setting up accounts, countersigning applications, providing unofficial on-site IT support, and countless other responsibilities behind the scenes, everyone contributes in their own unique way.

One thing that's immediately apparent to anyone who visits our office is our friendly and relaxed atmosphere. We believe this culture has a direct impact on the level of customer care we provide. If you've ever called our office, you may occasionally have heard laughter in the background — and that's something we're proud of.

We work hard to strike the right balance between having a giggle and knowing when it's time to get our heads down and focus. We believe that people do their best work when they enjoy what they do and the environment they're in. That's why we actively encourage a positive workplace culture where teamwork, support, and a sense of humour sit alongside professionalism and dedication.
