Littleton Auctions

Littleton Auctions With over 40 years as a trusted family-run business, we host sales with both in-room
and online bidding, reaching a worldwide audience.

We host regular featuring antiques, architectural salvage, jewellery, and collectables. Welcome to Littleton Auctions

In the early 1980's antique dealer and auctioneer Barry Homer opened Bell Court Auctions in Bidford on Avon and the lively local business continued with bi-weekly auctions for nearly twenty years. After Barry's death his son, auctioneer Martin Homer ran the business for over eigh

t years. In 2011 Martin returned to the auction world and launched Littleton Auctions located in the Worcestershire village of Middle Littleton. His mission, along with his son Ben & daughter Emma's help - to run fortnightly auctions accepting a combination of antique furniture, quality interiors, jewellery, art & collectables and to provide a local and accessible service to vendors with a Global reach for buyers thanks to live online bidding

Vendors are invited to bring in lots during the Tuesday & Wednesday after the fortnightly auction for acceptance for the following sale, please ring the auction room prior to bringing in so we can advise as to what does and doesn't warrant entry and to confirm we have room, as a guide we are looking for a minimum value of £30 per catalogued lot, we will then book an appointment and allocate you with a time slot (please be prompt). We are always happy to offer free estimates on items and can fix a reserve price on items over the value of £30 if both parties are happy. If you require larger goods to be collected (or delivered) we outsource our transport requirements to 2 local companies who are both very reasonable on price and offer a first rate service, call either Ben on 07796 048 878 or Richard on 07779 337 001 for a free quote. Our commission rate is a very competitive 15% + V.A.T. (minimum of £2.50 + V.A.T.) plus 1% guarantee and a £3 + V.A.T. lotting fee per catalogued item. Vendor's payments become due after just 7 working days (Wednesday week after the sale) by BACS transfer directly into the clients account (or, if available, collection of cash from the saleroom - please phone first). Buying at one of our auctions is simple. On your first visit we will issue you with a unique bidder's number which is free and can be used for future auctions (I.D. required), you can then attend the sale in person, leave a commission bid, or, in special circumstances you may bid by telephone at the time of the sale (conditions apply), you may also bid online via easyliveauction.com or the-saleroom.com. Our buyer's premium is 19% + V.A.T. on the hammer price (extra fees apply if using one of our two online bidding platforms). Payment for goods can be made by Bank transfer, by bidding platform link, Debit Card, or Cash. Our auctions take place every other Saturday morning at 10am. Viewing is strictly on Thursday's from 1am to 5pm, Friday's from 10am to 6pm and from 8.30am on the day. We have ample parking and our licenced cafe is open for both light refreshments and alcoholic beverages on sale days. We also have disabled toilet facilities.

A fascinating mix of entries arrived last week ahead of our next live auction on Saturday 16th May.
From a fully articulated 15th Century-style armour miniature made in the 1920s, to a rare Duchess of Sutherland’s Guild altar cross, a Black Forest decanter box with original contents, Mouseman pieces, mid-century furniture and a reducted Battle of Trafalgar marble plaque from Nelson’s Column - there are already some very interesting lots to look out for.

Another Salvage Auction wrapped up at Littleton Auctions. Our latest Salvage Auction brought the action back home to the Littleton saleroom and yard, with a selection of architectural, garden and decorative salvage lots going under the hammer.

It was a slightly steadier sale this time, but there were still some excellent prices achieved across the auction, along with a few great buys for successful bidders. Thank you to everyone who joined us, viewed, bid or supported the sale.

Our next auction will be our General Antiques, Jewellery, Art, Collectables and Militaria Auction on Saturday 16th May.

We are now accepting consignments for this auction during the week ahead, so if you have items you would like to enter, please get in touch.
