Doors to the Gin Fund Business Club were supposed to close on Wednesday but I've held them open until today - Friday 6th.

Not because I don't have enough sign ups - an absolutely belting group of small business owners have already joined us.

But because I have this overwhelming feeling that there are lots more people out there who would really, really benefit from joining the Club but who just haven't done it yet.

- Maybe you've been absolutely knocked sideways by Easter, bank holiday and then polling day?

- Maybe you're worried about not being able to make all the masterclasses (they are all recorded so you can watch at your own pace).

I might be wrong, but I have a strong gut feeling that there are people reading this who have the skills, ability and passion to grow a really successful business - but who just need a bit of Gin Fund magic to help.

Very casually hanging out on my weekly social media hang out with .

I really enjoy sharing my love of social media with other small business owners - this week I’m teaching everyone two very quick and easy reel ideas that they can make in less than 30 mins for the pair!

Quick reminder that everyone starts somewhere.

5 years ago today I did my first ever Facebook live and as you can tell, I was bricking it. I was so scared I would only do it if did it with me!

To make great video, you have to start with rubbish video so get out of your own way and get started!

We’ve got a great ‘Get Reels Confident’ masterclass on our website.

We taught it last week in my Gin Fund Business Club and the results have been amazing. People are going from 10-20 likes per post to over 1500 views on a reel on their first attempt.

What do you think about reels? Have you fallen in love with them yet?

Have you tried the Instagram Live scheduling feature?

Scheduling your live videos in advance is a great way of building up some momentum and excitement - and getting more people to tune in to your lives.

Yes going live may be scary and we know that feeling of secretly hoping no one will see our live 😆 But really we do want people to watch them!

Here's what you need to know:

⭐️ You can schedule up to 90 days in advance - we are probably never going to be that organised but you never know!
⭐️ Once scheduled you can share as a post or to Stories immediately - viewers can then sign up for reminders and notifications about your live.
⭐️ Or you can share it later, in which case it is saved as a draft
⭐️ If it's a draft you can edit it or cancel it so go ahead and have a play with the tool, watch our video to see how 👀

If you don't have the tool yet, don't worry, these things are rolled out over time, you'll be getting it soon 👍

Another day another squad of amazing small business owners. This time it was my turn (Helen) to be hosted by the wonderful for .

It’s makes such a lovely change to be the guest rather than the organiser and it once again reminded me of the power of collaboration and face to face connection.

We talked about all sorts but the main takeaways are that Lisa has a demon, my Aga may not be in my wealth corner and early 90s boy bands are some of the greatest influencers of our lifetime.

This is very exciting! It’s the first post I’ve (Helen) done since Instagram got rid of IGTVs for some accounts and replaced them with the ‘videos’ tab.

So now we can upload videos up to 60 minutes directly to the grid.

This is my first attempt and I have to say I like it ALOT. Super simple!

I’ve clicked to turn the captions on so fingers crossed they work. Have you got this ‘videos’ option yet? What do you think?

Prepping for our weekly social media expert slot with .

We *LOVE* our regular half hour sessions with these wonderful women - today we were chatting about ‘the slump’ - i.e. what to do when you just cannot be bothered to post on Instagram. We looked at strategies to put a rocket up your account as well as the importance of knowing when to walk away from the gram.
