Time is precious. This one is exceptional.

This rare Swiss 18ct gold quarter-repeating chronograph full-hunter pocket watch combines remarkable horological craftsmanship with two of the most impressive complications in watchmaking.

The white enamel dial features black Roman numerals, blued steel spade hands, subsidiary seconds and a sweep chronograph hand. Inside, the finely engineered movement includes a Breguet overcoil hairspring and quarter-repeating mechanism, sounding the last hour and quarter-hour on two gongs at the slide of a lever.

The chronograph is operated by a button at the top of the case, while the substantial full-hunter case is marked 18K and bears the Swiss Helvetia head mark.

A pair of goblets with a legendary story.

These striking late 20th-century parcel-gilt silver goblets were created by Aurum Designs in 1973 to commemorate the 1,300th anniversary of the foundation of Ely Cathedral.

Each goblet features a dramatic applied mermaid clutching a bunch of keys, rising from a textured and faceted conical stem.

At 16.5cm high and weighing an impressive 33.5 troy ounces, these are as much sculptural works of art as functional silverware.

This piece is over 300 years old…

This remarkable early 18th-century Stuart Crystal memento mori pendant features a faceted heart-shaped rock crystal enclosing a skeleton and coffin, set against a woven background incorporating the gold-thread initials “JJ”.

Rachel Kinsella, Head of Jewellery, has said that “items of this calibre are vanishingly scarce outside of major institutions like the Victoria and Albert Museum.”

Framed by blue enamel and a gold scroll inscribed “MEM. MORI”, the pendant is a fascinating example of the memento mori tradition.

An extraordinary survival of early Georgian mourning jewellery, combining gold, enamel, rock crystal and intricate symbolism.
