Let’s take a few minutes to appreciate the quality of this coffee that we all enjoy, but perhaps sometimes take for granted….

Southwest Coffee Co - AKA and - supplying and showcasing SUNDAY COLLAB] coffee - but what is that…? Why is it SO good? How is it so CONSISTENTLY good…?

Part 2:

The SUNDAY COLLAB] is a medium / full-city roast blend of 90% / 10% coffees. You’ll know Arabica - you’ll see it shouted about in the aisles of the supermarkerts! Arabica grows at above 1000m - in mountainous regions - and is therefore more expensive to farm.. It also carries all the exciting flavours of any coffee. Robusta beans are low level growing and therefore easier to farm. They don’t have as much variety of flavour, but they do carry twice as much caffeine as their Arabica cousins and a degree more oil so a gentle inclusion in an espresso blend helps create a punchy espresso that’s still super smooth and silky in the mouth when drunk straight, but which also carries enough body to work well in the long milky coffees so popular in the

: Light Chocolate, Fresh Almonds, Toasted Hazelnuts, Dried Fruit and Marzipan - classic and to be savoured; this is a collection of tastes that pretty much sums up the perfect coffee - low acidity; nothing too floral - a true coffee lovers coffee - no wonder it tastes so good!

Next time you’re in one of our cafes - or one of our wholesale partners cafes - remember just how much and have gone in to making your / / - before the barista has even poured the espresso!

Part 1:

We work with a small in the foothills of the , Northern Italy, founded in 1919…. So what does 103 years of experience bring to the table!?

This is a roaster by Italian measures… the focus here is on quality, not quantity…. "Direct and fair trade relationships ensure better quality beans and consistency. Buying direct guarantees the freshest green beans. Working with farms that give back as much to the land and people as they receive. Helping support local communities and regions that supply our crop. Traceability: not just back to the country of origin, but all the way back to the farm. Evaluation of quality by our top class panel of tasters who monitor beans from farm to cup”
