Every business has people working behind the scenes who keep everything running smoothly.

At Air, Kayleigh is one of them.

Since joining us in 2021 as an HR Assistant, Kayleigh has progressed into the role of HR Advisor and now plays a key part in supporting our people throughout every stage of their journey with Air.

From recruitment and onboarding to employee wellbeing, HR advice, policy development and everything in between, no two days are ever the same. It's a varied role that helps create the supportive, collaborative culture we're proud of.

Before joining Air, Kayleigh built her experience across education, local government, healthcare and care services, while also completing her CIPD Level 5 qualification in Human Resource Management.

Outside of work, you'll usually find her making the most of the Devon coastline, exploring the South West Coast Path or spending time at the beach with her family. She'll also happily admit that, despite living in Devon, she'll always have a soft spot for Somerset cider. ๐ŸŽ

Thanks for everything you do, Kayleigh.

This time last week our commercial team spent the day in a tiny glass room with questionable air con, a wall full of sticky notes, and a list of ground rules as long as your arm (Joel wasn't allowed to mention his four-week holiday, football was off limits, and apparently Laura is always right).

Thankfully, we weren't actually being held against our will. The sweets and chocolate helped. ๐Ÿซ

The day wasn't about creating another strategy document.

It was about getting aligned on how we become a stronger commercial team over the next 12 months, setting a clear framework for how we'll achieve our ambitious goals and, ultimately, creating an even better experience for our clients.

We left with:
โœ”๏ธ Shared priorities
โœ”๏ธ Clear ownership
โœ”๏ธ Practical improvements
โœ”๏ธ A roadmap for turning ideas into action

A huge thank you to Laura Di Carlo, Owen Richards, Gracie-May Bryan, Alister Lumley, Hannah Sanders, Alec Harden-Henry, Joel Pugh, Keryn Seal and Shaun Weston, for a day full of thoughtful discussion, constructive challenge and plenty of ideas we can now put into practice.

The real value of days like these isn't what gets written on the sticky notes. It's what happens afterwards.

Now the focus shifts to turning those conversations into meaningful improvements over the months ahead.

Congratulations to Max Roffey, our Outstanding Impact Award winner ๐Ÿ’Ž

Maximus has made a significant impact across multiple client campaigns, consistently delivering outstanding results while helping drive success for both our clients and the wider team.

โญ He played a key role in improving performance for one key client, helping turn around a challenging sit rate through a strong focus on process, quality and consistency.

โญ His biggest contribution came on another key client campaign, where he generated 7 of the team's 10 leads, achieved 314% of his HPA target and maintained an average of 21.2 conversations per hour. His performance has been so strong that the client has specifically requested he remains on the campaign.

โญ Alongside his own results, Max has also stepped up to support and coach new BDEs, helping them get up to speed quickly and contribute across multiple campaigns.

The quality and consistency of his work have strengthened client confidence and helped put us in a strong position for a potential contract extension.

Thank you, and well done, Max!

A good strategy session shouldn't create more ideas than actions. ๐Ÿ’ก

Today we're taking a step back to challenge every stage of our commercial journey.

๐Ÿ’Ž Looking at where we create the most value.
โšกIdentifying where we introduce unnecessary friction.
๐Ÿ’ป Exploring how technology and AI can support better decisions, stronger collaboration and a smoother experience for our prospects and clients.

It's been great bringing together expertise from across our commercial function, with Owen Richards, Laura Di Carlo, Alec Harden-Henry, Keryn Seal, Alister Lumley, Hannah Sanders, Joel Pugh, Shaun Weston, and Gracie-May Bryan all contributing their perspectives and experience.

That's exactly what today is about.

Every sales team now has access to AI. Which means AI is no longer the competitive advantage...

๐Ÿ’ฌ Your conversations are.

The best sales teams aren't using AI to replace human interaction.

They're using it to remove everything that gets in the way of it.

Better research.
Better targeting.
Better timing.

More time spent having conversations that actually move deals forward.

โœ”๏ธ Because AI can identify intent,
โœ”๏ธ it can personalise outreach,
โœ”๏ธ and it can automate admin.

But it still can't uncover the commercial challenges, build trust or create the moments that turn interest into opportunity.

The businesses building the strongest pipelines won't be the ones using the most AI. They'll be the ones combining AI with skilled salespeople who know how to have commercially valuable conversations.

That's why cold calling isn't disappearing.
It's just evolving.

Last week, Team Air swapped desks for the Double Locks for our Summer Team Day - and what a day it was!

From breakfast pastries ๐Ÿฅ and Taskmaster challenges ๐Ÿ’ช to a BBQ lunch, lawn games, and a quiz hosted by our very own quizmaster, Tony Derges ๐ŸŽค, it was the perfect reminder that great teams aren't just built through work - they're built through shared experiences.

As we've grown, protecting our culture has remained just as important as growing our business. Days like these give us the chance to reconnect, welcome new faces, celebrate our successes, and simply enjoy spending time together. ๐Ÿ’™

A huge shoutout to Chloe Diggle for pulling together another fantastic day. Your hard work behind the scenes didn't go unnoticed. And thank you to everyone who brought the energy and fully embraced the festival vibes... glitter station included! โœจ

Here's to another brilliant summer with Team Air! โ˜€๏ธ

For years, SDRs were viewed as a sales resource.

A role. A headcount. A function that sat somewhere between marketing and sales.

Today, leading organisations see it differently.

They recognise that consistent pipeline creation requires more than talented individuals.

It requires capability.

๐Ÿ”ธ Defined processes
๐Ÿ”ธ Strong data foundations
๐Ÿ”ธ Consistent prospecting activity
๐Ÿ”ธ Effective messaging
๐Ÿ”ธ Performance visibility
๐Ÿ”ธ Continuous optimisation

In other words: Infrastructure.

Because pipeline doesn't stop when someone leaves; growth targets don't disappear when hiring plans change; and new markets don't wait for teams to ramp.

The organisations creating the most predictable growth aren't relying on individual salespeople to generate pipeline when they have spare time.

They're building repeatable systems that create opportunities consistently.

That's why more businesses are investing in SDR capability as part of their commercial infrastructure.

Not because they want more meetings.

Because they want greater confidence in future revenue.

The question isn't:

"Do we need more SDRs?"

It's:

"Do we have the capability required to consistently create pipeline?"

The difference matters.

One is a hiring decision.

The other is a growth strategy.

If predictable pipeline remains a board-level priority, it's worth understanding whether your current sales capability is built to deliver it.

Most enterprises already have enough suppliers.

Agencies, consultants, software, service providers...

Yet many are still asking the same question:

"Why isn't pipeline growing?"

โŒ Because pipeline isn't created by adding more suppliers.

It's created by building a revenue engine that consistently turns market opportunity into commercial outcomes.

The most successful enterprises aren't looking for another supplier.

They're looking for a partner that can contribute to pipeline, opportunities, and revenue.

Partners who can:

๐Ÿ”ธ Integrate into their existing sales process
๐Ÿ”ธ Understand their market and buyers
๐Ÿ”ธ Generate commercially relevant conversations
๐Ÿ”ธ Create opportunities that convert into revenue
๐Ÿ”ธ Deliver visibility, accountability, and continuous optimisation

The difference is subtle. But it's important.

One is buying activity โžก๏ธ the other is investing in growth.

That's why the conversation has shifted.

Leadership teams aren't asking:
"Who can generate more activity?"

They're asking:
"Who can help us achieve our growth targets?"

Because predictable growth comes from a commercial engine that performs consistently.

๐Ÿ”ธ The right strategy.
๐Ÿ”ธ The right data.
๐Ÿ”ธ The right messaging.
๐Ÿ”ธ The right people.

If predictable pipeline remains a board-level priority, it's worth understanding whether your current sales model is built to deliver it.

Buyers are seeing more outreach than ever before.

The problem is that most of it sounds exactly the same.

We've seen organisations write off cold calling when the real problems were:

๐Ÿ”ธ Messaging that sounds identical to every competitor
๐Ÿ”ธ Leading with features instead of business outcomes
๐Ÿ”ธ Generic outreach that could apply to any company
๐Ÿ”ธ Reps unable to articulate a compelling reason to engage
๐Ÿ”ธ No clear differentiation in a crowded market

The reality is simple:
Decision-makers haven't stopped taking calls. They've just become far more selective about the conversations they engage with.

The teams generating opportunities today aren't relying on outdated scripts and volume.

They're combining:

โœ”๏ธ Strong positioning
โœ”๏ธ Relevant messaging
โœ”๏ธ Intelligent targeting
โœ”๏ธ Skilled sales ex*****on

Because buyers don't respond to channels. They respond to relevance.

If your outbound activity isn't generating the pipeline it should, the problem may not be the phone.

It may be the message.

Think your value proposition could be working harder?
