This Mental Health Awareness Week, we’ve taken time to reflect. For us at Workplace Innovation Europe, creating workplaces that support wellbeing and healthy, human-centred environments isn’t optional, it’s vital and they're the foundation of long-term success. As we reflect on this year’s Mental Health Awareness Week, we're reminded that mental wellbeing is deeply connected to how work is designed. Autonomy, trust, meaningful roles, supportive leadership, and voice at work, these aren’t just values we talk about. They’re foundations for good mental health.

Let’s keep asking the important questions:

✔️ How are we shaping workplace culture?
✔️ Are our people empowered to thrive, not just survive?
✔️ What more can we do to build organisations where mental health is protected and prioritised?

This week, and every week - we remain committed to supporting businesses across Europe to become better places to work, get in touch to see how we can support you and your team: [email protected]

As the Easter break approaches, it's a timely reminder that rest isn't a luxury, it's essential. In our fast-paced work culture, burnout can sneak up on us, especially when we neglect to take genuine breaks.

Research highlights that regular downtime, like bank holidays, is crucial for recharging our mental and physical batteries. However, it's not just about taking time off; it's about how we use that time. Engaging in activities that relax and rejuvenate us, be it a walk in nature, reading a book, or simply doing nothing, can make a significant difference. This Easter:

✔️ Unplug: Step away from work emails and notifications.
✔️ Reflect: Take stock of your well-being and acknowledge any signs of stress or fatigue.
✔️ Rejuvenate: Engage in activities that you enjoy ...and relax!

By prioritising rest, we not only care for ourselves but also return to our roles with renewed energy and clarity. Wishing everyone a peaceful and restorative Easter break.

Invitation: Employee Participation in Irish Workplaces (Dublin: 7th March 2025)

More than 70 years’ worth of evidence shows that workers with greater control over their own jobs are more productive and less likely to be sick than those in traditional hierarchical organisations. They bring ideas to work, contribute to improving the business, and help to build agile and resilient organisations. They also learn and develop on the job, and experience significantly greater wellbeing and satisfaction.

Yet too many Irish companies have yet to realise the full potential of employee participation. Drawing on evidence from Ireland and elsewhere in Europe, this interactive workshop is your opportunity to learn from leading practice and identify practical steps to achieving win-win outcomes for organisations and their employees alike.

Featuring inspiring presentations from innovative companies (including Fleetwood Paints and Kirchhoff Automotive) as well as experts, trade unions and other stakeholders, this free, interactive workshop will focus on the “why, what and how” of workplaces that use and develop the full range of workforce potential.
