A trip to Plymouth today with another of our best sellers - an Ergochair Adapt 600.
This is for a lady who badly broke her ankle earlier in the year and has been struggling to work all day. She needs to be able to elevate her leg and had been sitting in a generic office chair with her foot on a cushion on a stool. But it just wasn't working.
The Ergochair has a sophisticated knee tilt mechanism, a benefit for anyone but the increased movement in her ankle was a real benefit for this client. The back rest reclines separate to the seat so she can remain comfortable when she elevates he leg on the leg rest. This particular leg rest is hydraulically height adjustable, and tilts and articulates so Helen can always find the right position.
As with any injury, when a body part is out of action, other problems creep in as they compensate. Helen really noticed how much the support from the 4D adjustable armrests relieved her neck - exactly what they're supposed to do!
Of course on paper this isn't a cheap solution, and some people might suggest that for a temporary measure a cheaper solution would have been more appropriate. This is of course utter bo****ks. She's a valuable member of staff who deserves to the support of her employer while she recovers. And this equipment will last many years and continue to provide support long after the injury has healed.
