We were absolutely thrilled and incredibly honoured to be named Partner of the Year at the recent InFocus Charity annual street party 🎉

At Coastal Recycling, we’re passionate about making a positive impact, and it means so much to see the difference our partnership has made. If you’re heading down over the next couple of days, please help us by putting your waste in the right place. We’ve got plenty of bins across the site for every type of rubbish:
✅ Use food waste bins for any leftovers and scraps
✅ Recycling bins are there for plastic bottles, cans, and paper/card
✅ Everything else can go in the general waste bins

With everyone doing their bit, we can keep the show clean, green, and enjoyable for all 🙌

We’ve got just under a month until The Big EO Clean Up! 💚

To celebrate Employee Ownership Day, we’re joining forces with three other local employee-owned businesses, Stephens Scown, Absolute PR & Marketing B Corp and Market Carpets Ltd to host a clean-up event in Exeter. We’re inviting local businesses to gather some colleagues and step out of the workplace and into our city to join our community for a litter pick – you don’t need to be employee-owned, everyone’s welcome!

✅ When: Friday 19th June 2026
✅ Where: Walk from your workplace and meet at Stephens Scown, Southernhay for a cuppa and cake.
✅ Time: Meet at Stephens Scown by 1.00pm

Simply grab some bags, gloves or litter pickers and collect rubbish on your way.

Last year talented Exeter street artist, Steve McCracken Art customised this 8 yard skip into a work of art 🎨

Over the year, the skip has been brightening up building sites, housing developments and driveways all over the region.

Last week we delivered it to a customer in Budleigh, where it adds even more colour to their already garden bright and blooming garden. A reminder that art isn’t just for galleries - it belongs everywhere!

After battling some very uncooperative January and February weather, our new general waste sorting area is officially open at our Exeter Recycling Facility 🙌 (Thankfully, March and April were much kinder and helped us get over the line)

Our first load was tipped yesterday!

This upgrade gives us more space and more capacity helping us recover even more recyclable material ♻️

And it’s safe to say the timelapse album from the start of the year wasn’t worth sharing… unless you enjoy pictures rain and fog!

It’s spring and our gardens are coming back to life! 🙌 ☀️

With more people out in their gardens, we want to highlight the importance of what we're putting in our garden waste bins.

At Coastal Recycling, we accept around 60,000 tonnes of source‑segregated green garden waste collected from across the county which we turn into a nutrient rich compost. Unfortunately, plastic often ends up in the green waste and can impact our entire composting process, reducing quality and risking plastic fragments ending up back in soils.
