Today I’m meeting up a fellow artist for a 6 month review of my sketch practice.
It’s been amazing to do this and stick with the project all year - so far. It’s been helpful to me, not just for improving my drawing but my whole focus.
I can totally recommend a consistent practice in anything that you want to improve.

Here’s some from April - I’m still behind in posting so May will follow.

I’m still going well with my 365 and I can see the progression in my work. The main thing is, I’m still enjoying it. Some days are better than others but I learn lots on the ‘not so good days’

I’m still achieving my and posting everyday on Instagram.

This year I set myself the challenge to draw, paint, sketch - do something creative everyday of the year
This way, I’ll improve and learn a lot - well, that’s the idea.

Here’s January - I don’t do FB much so it’s taken a while to get around to sharing them. The other months will follow.
I had the theme of Trees but I wandered off theme a bit.
The next theme (February) will be buildings and I wandered off theme a lot!

Just a bit of mindful colouring in.
Something to occupy my mind and give me some focus as I’m recuperating from an injury.
At some point I’ll get some decent paper and that will make a difference but for now this does just fine.

Quick charcoal sketch and a bit of colour.
I haven’t been able to focus to draw over the last few months but it goes like sometimes

I’ve now had the time enforced on me while I wait for my fractured collarbone to mend. Luckily I can still draw so I’m hoping to make the best of this time

I’ve experimented with wash, charcoal and gouache with a brush and palette knife. It’s good to have the time to play and learn
