So, I've just learned that I'm no longer the only place doing pedal building classes in the UK. But I'm glad to say that the Keld workshop has a lot of advantages over the other offering

The Keld 1 day workshop costs £175. (Them's Northern prices mucker!)
The Keld workshop has a mix of theory and practical. #
We've got a choice of pedals (RAT or Fuzzface)
I've been teaching them for 3 years now. :)
Most importantly, lunch is included!

The next pedal building workshop is on 27th September. There are a couple of places left. Come and join the fun!

Nice colourful 6L6 this afternoon. The line 6 amp wasn't enjoying so much though! New quad fitted and biased. One of 3 same day turnaround jobs finished today.

Cautionary tale folks. Out of curiosity I just let Google's Gemini talk me through amplifier biasing. It went well until I was instructed to bias the amp to run 350mA through a KT88. That would be a 460% bias. If the amp had allowed me to do that (very unlikely), the valves would literally have exploded in my face.

I did the 'check your work' thing and everything.
