🐴 Part-Time Freelance Groom – Dunsfold

A fantastic part-time freelance position is available at a beautifully set-up family yard in Dunsfold, home to just 3 horses.

This is a wonderful opportunity, likely to suit an experienced ex-show groom who already has some freelance clients and/or is looking for some structured hours within a friendly, family-run yard.

The ideal candidate will have an eventing background and be confident taking sole charge of 3 lovely horses, ranging from eventers to happy hackers.

The Role
• HGV licence essential to drive the 7.5-tonne lorry to training, shows, vet appointments and other outings.

• Riding is an important part of the role, including schooling, hacking and supporting a teenage event rider with training at home, including canter work. You will also be involved in planning and scheduling the horses’ work programmes and events.

• Set hours each week on a freelance basis, including one weekend day per week. Hours vary between morning and afternoon shifts. The schedule will remain consistent each week, making it easy to arrange your diary around other freelance clients.

• We are looking for someone who is genuinely invested in improving the horses’ fitness, condition and overall presentation, while also helping to support the continued progression of the rider. This will include organising lessons, taking the horses to the gallops and training, and scheduling shows in line with the rider’s development and goals.

• Competitive rates for the right person.

• Beautiful facilities at a newly built yard.

• Someone who shows initiative and is confident managing the horses on a day-to-day basis, ensuring the yard is kept tidy, well maintained and organised, with the horses’ welfare always coming first.

• Must be able to clip and ride to a good standard. The ideal candidate should also have some teaching qualifications.

• Location: Dunsfold.

• Ad hoc housesitting is also available at an additional rate for anyone interested.

The Ideal Candidate:

🌺 We are looking for someone reliable, experienced and proactive, who takes pride in their work and enjoys being part of a friendly family yard. An eventing background is preferred, along with the confidence and experience to take sole responsibility for the horses and support the rider’s ongoing development.

🐴 Full-Time Home / Show Groom — Dual Role

A lovely opportunity has arisen for a full-time Home / Show Groom to join a small and intimate yard with beautiful facilities. The yard hosts a small number of individual clients with multiple horses, where attention to detail and excellent horse management are paramount.

This role would be particularly suited to an experienced ex-show groom who is looking to slow down a little, but is still happy and prepared to attend shows on an ad hoc basis as and when required.

The clients are varied in their disciplines, although applicants with a strong dressage background would be preferred.

The Role:

- 5-day working week, roughly 8 hours per day, with some flexibility and give and take where needed.

- Competitive salary for the right candidate.

- International grooming experience is a strongly preferred.

- HGV licence is a MUST.

- A small team, so the ability to work closely with others and take charge when needed is essential. This is not a yard with a hierarchy, everyone works together and chips in wherever required.

- As this is a dual Home / Show Groom role, with approximately 12 shows per year, you will be provided with a self-contained, one-bedroom annex onsite.

- The highest standards of horse care and presentation are expected, with the horses always coming first and the yard and clients being represented to the highest standard at all times.

- Leatherhead based.

- Start date mid- late September

🌺 Please Note:

Please do not apply if your HGV licence will not be obtained before 01.10.26 and/or you do not have proven experience on the international circuit.

For the right person, this is a truly wonderful role, offering the opportunity to work within a small, friendly team while maintaining the high standards expected of an international-level yard.

Good morning ☀️ I hope you’ve all got something lovely planned for the Bank Holiday weekend.

I wanted to send a little reminder that I have just a few spaces remaining for two very special Eleventh Hour experiences coming up this year:

☁️ 1st October — Rest & Restore Retreat

I’m so excited to be hosting my Rest & Restore Retreat at Abbotstone Farm House, set within the beautiful surroundings of The Grange Hampshire.

This location was specifically chosen for its natural beauty and peaceful setting, the perfect place to step away from the everyday, reset the nervous system and give yourself some much-needed space to breathe.

The day combines a mixture of restorative practices and activities designed to nourish the mind and soul, alongside learning and movement to keep the body feeling happy and energised.

It’s a full day dedicated to you, your wellbeing and pressing pause. If you’ve been looking for a reason to treat yourself, this is your sign…your health needs no reason. 🤍

🎄 18th December — London International Horse Show

I’m thrilled to have secured Box 9 for the London International Horse Show!
Having been lucky enough to attend the show most years in a hospitality box when it was held at Olympia, I can say first-hand what a wonderful experience it is.

Friday 18th December includes some of the 5* jumping classes, so it’s a fantastic opportunity to watch some of the very best riders in the sport, all from the comfort of our own hospitality box.

Spaces for this are incredibly limited due to the box capacity, so if this is something you’d love to join me for, please message me directly for full details. Friends and family welcome of course!

I’d absolutely love to see some familiar faces at both events. 🤍

Have a wonderful Bank Holiday weekend! x

✨ Anniversary Series – Day 11 of 11 ✨

To celebrate one year of The Eleventh Hour Concierge, I’m sharing 11 moments from the past year that have shaped both me and my business.

And so we’ve reached the final day… and I couldn’t think of a better way to finish than with a little nod to the World Games. ❤️ Sadly, I won’t be at Aachen this year, meaning it will be the first World Games in eight years that I haven’t been a part of. As much as I’m sad not to be there, having had the opportunity to groom at the past two World Games is something I will never, ever take for granted.

There really is no way to properly explain what it feels like to board a flight to a World Championship alongside teams from countries all over the world, everyone proudly wearing their team kit and heading towards the same incredible goal.

The atmosphere, the camaraderie, the nerves, the excitement, the stadium… there’s just something about it that you don’t experience anywhere else. It’s difficult to put into words, but it’s incredibly special. Good luck to everyone at Aachen, what a stage, one of my favourite venues.

Looking back over these 11 posts, I think that’s what this anniversary has really reminded me of. So many of the experiences I’ve had throughout my career have shaped the person and business I am today, and I’m incredibly lucky that The Eleventh Hour Concierge allows me to bring all of those experiences, skills and passions together.

From horses and travelling the world, to events, clients, incredible partnerships with the Eleventh hour and now building Chapter Eleven, this first year has been quite a journey.

So, to everyone who has followed along, supported me, recommended me, booked me, worked with me, liked a post, shared my name or simply cheered me on from the sidelines, thank you 🥂 Here’s to the next chapter of The Eleventh Hour Concierge. I have a feeling Year Two is going to be a good one… ✨

🎉 Today’s giveaway winner is… Mulberry Tree Dressage! Congratulations! Please send me a message to claim your prize 🎁

And that’s a wrap on 11 days, 11 moments and 11 giveaways. Thank you for celebrating one year with me!✨

✨ Anniversary Series – Day 10 of 11 ✨ sorry it’s a day late!

To celebrate one year of The Eleventh Hour Concierge, I’m sharing 11 moments from the past year that have shaped both me and my business.

Today’s post is all about something I’m asked surprisingly often… what actually is a concierge?

In short, it’s probably a slightly more bougie way of saying personal assistant! But I like to think The Eleventh Hour Concierge goes a little beyond the traditional PA role.

A concierge is essentially someone you can rely on to take care of the details, solve problems, organise the things you don’t have time for and make life run that little bit more smoothly. From everyday jobs and life admin to sourcing something special, organising experiences or dealing with those “I have absolutely no idea how I’m going to make this happen” moments, that’s where I come in.

I’ve said it before, but for my clients I really do try to be there whenever they need me most. Working with clients who have different schedules, commitments and even time zones naturally means being flexible, and honestly, I wouldn’t have it any other way.

I’ve experienced it myself when I’ve contacted a business outside of their usual working hours, only to receive a response two or three days later. And while I completely understand that everyone needs a work-life balance, that kind of delay simply doesn’t work for the way I want to look after my clients.

The Eleventh Hour is about being the person you can message when something needs sorting, knowing that I’ll either have the answer, find the answer, or know someone who can help. Ultimately, it’s about taking things off your plate, giving you back your time and making sure that when you need something done, you don’t have to worry about it.

And perhaps that’s the best definition of a concierge for me, I’m here so you don’t have to be. ✨

Thank you for following along with my anniversary journey. Don’t forget to keep an eye on the page tomorrow for Day 11 of 11… and the LAST giveaway!

✨ Anniversary Series – Day 9 of 11 ✨

To celebrate one year of The Eleventh Hour Concierge, I’m sharing 11 moments from the past year that have shaped both me and my business.

Today’s post is all about two very special girls… Petal and Valentine. ❤️

Petal, my grey mare, came into my life when I was just 14 years old, which means this is our 16th year together. Valentine has been part of my life for just as long too. She went on to have an incredible FEI career before coming back to me three years ago, and having them both by my side is something I’ll never take for granted.

I’m genuinely so grateful to have two of the kindest souls. This photo is from one of the many shoots we’ve had with the incredibly talented Hannah Freeland Photography. Hannah has such a gift for capturing the relationship between horse and owner, these photographs are memories I’ll treasure forever. If you ever get the opportunity to have a shoot with Hannah, I couldn’t recommend it more.

Hannah is also one of the many trusted partners I’ve built long-standing relationships with over the years, and one of the people I’m so pleased to introduce to my clients.
If you’re one of my long-standing clients, you’ll know about my Inner Circle, a private, password-protected page on my website where I share a carefully selected group of businesses and people I genuinely trust and love working with. You’ll also receive a monthly box, each one featuring one of these wonderful partners and why they’ve earned their place in my network.

One thing this past year has taught me is that no business succeeds on its own. Behind every great service is a network of incredible people, and I’m so thankful to have built relationships with people I can confidently recommend, knowing they’ll look after my clients just as well as I do.

Thank you for following along with my anniversary journey. Don’t forget to keep an eye on the page tomorrow for Day 10 of 11… and another giveaway!

✨ Anniversary Series – Day 8 of 11 ✨

To celebrate one year of The Eleventh Hour Concierge, I’m sharing 11 moments from the past year that have shaped both me and my business.

Today’s post is all about vision boards… something I’ve believed in for years.

It’s funny because every time I sit down to create a vision board, everything I put on there feels so unachievable at the time. More like a dream than a realistic plan. But I’ve learnt that without those dreams, nothing ever becomes a reality.

Looking back at my old vision boards, it’s amazing to see how many things have actually come to life. I truly believe that, without even realising it, they’ve given me the focus, motivation and determination to make those dreams happen.

I created my very first vision board when I was 19 after my boss at the time encouraged me to give it a go. One of the things I put on there was passing my HGV licence. At the time it felt like a huge goal, but just a year later I had that licence in my hand.

Ever since then, I’ve loved setting aside time for a vision board session. It keeps me focused on where I want to go, gives me something to work towards and reminds me why I started. If you know me, you’ll know I absolutely love ticking things off a list… so I like to think of my vision board as one giant, colourful to-do list!

Now I’m curious… any guesses what might be on my latest vision board? 👀✨

✨ Anniversary Series – Day 7 of 11 ✨

To celebrate one year of The Eleventh Hour Concierge, I’m sharing 11 moments from the past year that have shaped both me and my business.

Today’s post is dedicated to the people who have made all of this possible… my wonderful clients. ❤️

The Eleventh Hour Concierge simply wouldn’t exist without the trust you’ve placed in me from day one. Whether you’ve booked me for a one-off task, attended a Chapter Eleven event, recommended me to a friend, or supported me by liking, commenting and sharing my posts, every single bit of support has helped this little business grow.

I honestly can’t put into words how grateful I am. Every enquiry that lands in my inbox still gives me the same little spark of excitement it did a year ago. It never gets old, and I truly hope it never does.

The fact that you trust me with your time, your special occasions, your never-ending to-do lists and the little details that matter most is something I’ll never take for granted.
Thank you for allowing me to do what I genuinely love every single day. You haven’t just supported a small business, you’ve helped me build my dream, and for that, I will always be thankful.

Thank you for following along with my anniversary journey. Don’t forget to keep an eye on the page tomorrow for Day 8 of 11… and another giveaway!
