Yesterday, Chapter Eleven hosted its first Private Experience Day — Beach & Brunch 🩵

It was an exceptionally beautiful morning, calm seas, golden sunshine, horses paddling along the shoreline, and a beautifully curated brunch shared in wonderful company.

1️⃣ Full time show groom, sole charge of 2/3 horses who go to some of the best shows and tours on the circuit. No need to drive the lorry, 6 day working week, great conditions and working facilities. Berkshire based, accommodation available though you must drive a car to and from the base. Competitive wage.

2️⃣ Part time house keeper (15 hours per week). Rural, country home set within an estate in Farnham, Surrey. This role comes with a separate, self contained 3 bed cottage with a small, private garden. Partner and dog welcome. Monday- Friday 9-12. Extra hours paid at an agreed rate, you’re welcome to work elsewhere in your time off. This is a non paid role in return for the wonderful accommodation offered.

🌟 An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated Housekeeper to join a warm, welcoming household within a beautiful private residence near Farnham, Surrey for 15 hours per week in exchange for lovely, self contained accommodation set within the estate. Partner welcome and well behaved dogs.

This is a varied role with an even split between housekeeping and laundry duties, ideal for a candidate who enjoys taking pride in maintaining exceptionally high standards throughout a private home.
The property is a substantially large residence used for both private family stays and entertaining, however the house is only occupied for a couple the majority of time. The previous housekeeper has been here for 9 + years.

This role boasts a genuinely lovely working environment with excellent staff retention and comes with a self contained 3 bed cottage complete with small garden within the estate.

Key Responsibilities
Housekeeping Duties
* Maintaining immaculate cleanliness and presentation throughout the property
* Daily housekeeping of bedrooms, bathrooms, reception rooms, and guest areas
* Deep cleaning and seasonal housekeeping tasks including polishing silver and furniture
* Assisting with preparation for guests and entertaining
Laundry Duties
* Washing, ironing, steaming, and pressing garments and household linens
* Caring for delicate and high-end fabrics with attention to detail
* Organising wardrobes and linen storage areas
* Managing laundry processes efficiently
Working Schedule
* The household requires 15 hours per week, 9am-12pm Monday - Friday in exchange for the cottage premises.

Candidate Requirements
* Previous experience within a private household, luxury hospitality, or similar high-standard environment
* Strong housekeeping and laundry skills
* Excellent attention to detail and high standards of presentation
* Positive, flexible, and can-do attitude
* Comfortable working extra hours where needed at an agreed paid rate.
* Discreet, professional, and reliable
* Able to work efficiently

Seeking Full-Time Groom – Private Competition Yard (Berkshire)

We’re looking for an experienced and dedicated groom to join a small, high-quality private yard in Berkshire, caring for a select group of 2–3 competition horses.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work closely with well-produced horses competing on the show circuit, including some lovely tours, while being part of a supportive and professional wider team who travel together.

The Role
You’ll take full responsibility for the day-to-day care and presentation of the horses, maintaining exceptionally high standards of turnout and welfare at all times. This is a non-riding position, ideal for someone who takes pride in immaculate care, organisation, and attention to detail.

What We’re Looking For
• Proven experience at 3★ level or above
• Excellent turnout and horse management skills
• A calm, reliable, and professional approach
• Ability to work independently while also being part of a team
• Full driving licence (essential)

How does being a professional show groom convert to my now full time position of running a concierge company? 🖊️

I’m just heading home from a show in Germany and I feel these images from my trip tell just that. As a dedicated groom, I’m always supporting my horses and riders. Maybe when they get a little nervous, by their side in the most critical moments. I learn to understand their likes and dislikes, and no two horses or riders are the same. I’m organised with my planning and logistics of everything involved from A - B and meticulous when it comes to attention to detail. Overall I genuinely care about keeping all parties happy and well balanced, and I guess, running the Eleventh hour is no different.

I’m fortunate to have clients whose needs are all so different yet I’m able to cater to their requirements which is key. They know they can lean on me whenever needed or trust me to carry out a task on their behalf knowing I will execute it exactly how they would if they were handling it themselves. Building up relationships takes time but I’d like to think I really try to hone in on each clients preferences early on so that I’m immediately ensuring they feel fulfilled with my work, this is super important to me.

This line of work is in my blood, and what makes it better is I can wake up everyday to a variety of tasks knowing each job will make me smile. ☀️
