These two images show a classic diamond daisy cluster ring under the excellent UV jewellery inspector screening for synthetic diamonds.

The brighter one is of the ring under long wave ultraviolet light (365nm), whilst the second one is of the same ring taken under short wave UV light (254nm).

The fact that the glow brighter under LWUV suggests that they are natural rather than synthetic (man-made).

Jewellery shops are closed under the new national lockdown (from 5 January 2021), but you may still need a valuation for Insurance, Probate, or Division of Assets.

The national rules clearly state ‘Where it is necessary for you to work in other people’s homes… you can do so’. If you are comfortable to have me, I am able to make home visits in Kent, Surrey and Sussex, provided we follow social distancing rules.
