A typical day:

• You will start the day by carrying out vehicle checks before setting off.

• Working days are Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturdays.

• Start times may differ, especially in busy periods

• up to 30 drops and collections per day

• Ensure all paperwork is handed in at the end of the day

• Ensuring vehicle is kept clean and tidy

What we require from you:

• No DD, DR points

• No more than 6 points on license

• Be friendly and approachable

• Great communication skills

• English speaking

• Good time management skills

• Be a careful and considerate driver

Thank you!

The last few months, as I am sure you are aware, have been very challenging. Issues such as lack of available operatives for the production team and available drivers has really proved a challenge. Additionally, our main suppliers being unable to meet demand across the country has hampered purchasing of new linen to cover the experienced shortfall.

Whilst we have tried to and continue to look to recruit, staffing numbers are still ultimately not where we want them to be. Despite this, the current workforce have been fantastic and everyone has pulled together as we look to continue to offer an acceptable level of service. Whilst we understand in some instances we have fell short of this, we have and will continue in our efforts to improve any shortfall experienced.

To this end we would like to thank you all for the level of understanding you have shown towards the Office team and drivers in these trying times.

We really do value the help that has been provided whether that be simply a delay in request for delivery, collecting work from the factory, cancelling unnecessary linen and avoiding stock hoarding or even washing small amounts of linen to see you through the worst case scenarios. All of the things that have been done, big or small, have helped us greatly and we wanted to thank you for this.

We look forward to your continued support.

Faversham Laundry are looking for operatives to work in their modern facility. Day shifts available working 8:00 – 16:30 and evening shifts working 16:30 to a maximum 22:30. Overtime available at busy times. No experience necessary as training will be given. Due to the nature of the business, there is a considerable amount of manual handling. Some Saturday working may be required.
