Established in 2008, eSift consists of a team of Direct Sourcing Specialists. Our services have been developed directly to respond to the changes in and challenges of recruitment. It is increasingly popular for businesses to take back complete control of their entire recruitment process. This, coupled with the explosion of the use of mobile devices, social media and online job boards can create pr

essure on internal resources. For our clients we provide a totally flexible and scalable service that can be tailored to meet the needs of any business and alleviate the pressure on any element of a Direct Sourcing Strategy. This approach not only improves the process, it results in a substantial reduction in resourcing costs. We work as an extension of in-house teams to build a talent attraction and management process based on the specific needs of each business. This approach has many advantages:

- Improves employer branding - become an employer of choice
- Increased talent attraction & retention
- Reduced time to appoint
- Additional resource
- Building a pool of talent
- Substantial reduction of costs
- No placement fees. No disputes over rebates

We build a bespoke solution, however, here are some added value services we provide:

- Talent search, identification & qualification
- Talent sourcing at all levels
- Passive candidate attraction & qualification
- Candidate care, management & communication
- Volume campaigns - entire project provision
- Resource Planning
- All competency & strengths based interviewing
- First candidate contact and qualification
- Talent market mapping

If you have identified that your resourcing process requires improvement, change or enhancing, one of our team of experts would be very happy to discuss your requirements whether interim, part or full time.

Recognition costs nothing, but it can make a huge difference.

After 35 years of managing teams, I’ve always made recognition a priority. In my experience, it can sometimes have a greater impact than a financial reward.

We’ve recently had two clients take the time to recognise the work of members of our TA team, sharing some really positive feedback about the service they received.

It was a great reminder of just how much it means to people when their hard work is noticed and appreciated.

I’ve shared some of that feedback, along with some of the research behind the power of recognition, in our latest article.

Hiring models are evolving.

More businesses are turning to fractional and interim talent to access specialist skills without committing to permanent headcount. It’s a way to move quickly, stay flexible, and bring in expertise exactly when it’s needed.

In an uncertain market, that kind of agility can make a real difference to how organisations plan and deliver projects.

We’re seeing more leadership teams rethink traditional recruitment models and explore more flexible ways to scale their teams.

University can still be the right choice, but increasingly, it depends on the subject, the experience gained alongside it, and alignment with industry demand.

We explore the financial reality, shifting employment landscape, and whether alternative routes may offer better value.

Artificial intelligence continues to reshape the workplace, but one thing is becoming increasingly clear, employers aren't just investing in AI technology, they're looking for people who know how to use it effectively.

Recent research has found demand for AI-related skills is growing rapidly across the UK, with organisations placing greater value on candidates who can combine technical capability with human skills such as communication, creativity and problem-solving.

As recruitment continues to evolve, businesses that invest in upskilling their workforce are likely to be better positioned for future growth.

The candidate experience starts with communication.

The strongest candidates are often evaluating your business just as much as you're evaluating them.

Clear communication, timely feedback and a well-managed recruitment process can make a significant difference to how your organisation is perceived.
Even candidates who aren't successful should leave with a positive impression of your business.

In a competitive hiring market, candidate experience isn't just an HR consideration, it's part of your employer brand.

Are CVs becoming easier to write?

With AI tools becoming more accessible, candidates can now create polished CVs, cover letters and job applications in a matter of minutes.

While technology can help candidates present themselves more effectively, it also makes it more important than ever for employers to look beyond what's written on paper.

Skills, experience, motivations and cultural fit still matter.

Recruitment has always been about people, and that's unlikely to change anytime soon.
