Here’s something nobody tells you when you leave a corporate role to run your own wellbeing business: In your old job, there was a marketing person. A finance person. An admin team. An IT helpdesk. A manager who held the bigger picture while you focused on your work.

Now? You’re all of them.

And the thing is you know how important those roles are. You’ve seen what happens when they’re done well. But you can’t find the time to do them all, so you pick one, go deep, fall down a rabbit hole and come up two hours later wondering where the day went.

Then the guilt sets in. Then the “I’m not cut out for this.” Then the urge to quit.

But you’re not failing. You’re just doing six jobs with the time and energy of one person and nobody has helped you figure out how to manage that yet.

That’s a systems problem. Not a you problem. 🌿

Which “department” do you find yourself falling into most? Marketing, admin, finances, content? Tell me below.

Likes are easy to count.

Trust isn’t.

That’s one of the reasons marketing can feel so frustrating for wellbeing business owners. We naturally focus on the numbers we can see, but many of the things that actually lead to enquiries happen quietly in the background.

Someone reads a post, visits your profile …reads a few more posts. Then they visit your website. Mentions you to a friend. Then, weeks later, sends a message. The journey rarely begins with a like.

What’s one way you know your content is working, beyond likes and comments?

End of the week thought:
If you’ve been showing up consistently this week on social media, with your clients, in your business and it felt like shouting into the void:

It wasn’t.

Someone saw it. Someone needed it. Someone filed it away under “I’ll come back to her when I’m ready.”

Marketing a wellbeing business is a long game. It’s quiet, cumulative, relational and the women who understand that but keep going anyway are the ones who build something real.

If you’d like support staying consistent without burning out, that’s exactly what The Lounge is for. 🌿

Memberships from £45 a month. 7 day free trial available. Link in the comments.

People Are Watching

One of the most surprising things I’ve noticed this year is how many people have quietly appeared and said:

“I’ve been following what you’re doing for ages.”

Often, they’ve never liked a post. Never left a comment. Never replied to a story and yet they know exactly what I’ve been working on.

It’s a useful reminder that visibility and engagement aren’t the same thing.

People are busy. They’re scrolling in waiting rooms, reading on trains, watching between school runs and client sessions. Many are paying attention long before they’re ready to participate.

So if your latest post didn’t get much response, try not to assume it disappeared into the void. You may simply be seeing how people consume content now.

Have you ever had someone tell you they’d been following you from afar?

Something I hear a lot from women in wellbeing:
“I feel embarrassed that I don’t know this already.”

Can we just take a moment to sit with how unfair that is?

You trained for years to help other people. Nobody handed you a business degree alongside your therapy diploma.

Not knowing how to write a sales page, set your prices, or show up on social media doesn’t mean you’re behind.

It means you’re human & you’re learning something new.

That’s actually really brave. 🍵

The Wellbeing Business Lounge exists for exactly this a safe, gentle space to ask the questions you’ve been too afraid to ask anywhere else.

Three ways to join us from £45 a month, with a free trial available.

Something to think about this weekend.

If you’ve found yourself feeling as though you’re falling behind, you’re probably not.

Most of the women I work with are building their businesses around busy lives, family commitments, clients, jobs and everything else life throws at them.

Progress can look slower than we’d like, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t happening.

The Lounge will still be here when you’re ready. No rush, just support, ideas and good company when you need it. 🌿

What’s been one small win from your week? I’d love to hear it.

Quick check in for the end of the week.

How are you actually doing?

Not your business. Not your to do list. You.

Because I’ve noticed that a lot of women in wellbeing are incredibly good at holding space for everyone else and not so good at holding it for themselves.

So this is your permission slip to finish early today, make a cup of tea and call it enough.

You’ve done more than you think. 🌿

P.S. If you want a gentle space to think about your business without the pressure come and have a look at The Lounge.
