After ten remarkable years as Managing Director of Buckleys, Simon is beginning a well-earned retirement.
Over the past decade, Simon has helped shape not only our business, but the products, innovations and engineering excellence that define Buckleys today. His passion for engineering has always been at the heart of everything he did, constantly challenging us to think differently, improve continuously and never stop asking...
"How can we make it better?"
For many, Simon was our Managing Director. But to those of us who had the privilege of working alongside him, he will always be remembered as something else first - An exceptional engineer.
The depth of Simon's engineering knowledge is unlike anything many of us have ever experienced. Time and again, he solved problems others couldn't, challenged conventional thinking and found better ways of doing things. His curiosity, technical expertise and relentless pursuit of improvement inspired everyone around him to raise the bar.
His knowledge didn't just shape our products - it helped shape Buckleys itself.
The Buckleys Pro2 range is perhaps the greatest example of that legacy. What began as Simon's vision, was dreamed up, developed, designed and ultimately manufactured here at Buckleys. Today, it stands as one of our most successful product ranges and a lasting testament to his ingenuity, determination and belief that there is always a better way.
But Simon's legacy extends far beyond the products he created.
It's found in the people he mentored, the knowledge he shared so generously, the standards he set and the culture of innovation he leaves behind. His fingerprints can be found throughout our business - in the products we manufacture, the way we solve problems and the mindset that continues to drive us forward.
The photographs we've shared are just a small snapshot of the last ten years. Behind every image are countless conversations, ideas brought to life, challenges overcome and achievements celebrated.
