♻️✨ Has your kettle boiled its final cuppa?
Or is it hiding in a cupboard, quietly replaced by a shinier, fancier model?

Bring it along to Folkestone Electrical Recycling this Saturday.
If it’s still in good working order, we’ll pass it on to someone who genuinely needs it, because a kettle that’s retired from your kitchen might be just the upgrade someone else is waiting for.

If its tea‑making days are truly over, don’t worry. We’ll recycle it locally in Sittingbourne and recover all the valuable materials inside. Even a tired old kettle still has plenty to give.

📍 Find us at our stall outside Folkestone HSBC, Saturday 10am–2pm.
Kettles, toasters, cables, gadgets… if it plugs in or charges, we’ll take it.

Let’s keep electricals out of landfill and put them to good use in our community.

Wow, Sandgate, 43kg of electricals in 3 days!

We’ve just collected the contents of our brand‑new Pink Electrical Recycling Bin at Prater Raines… and after only 3 days, it was already FULL with a whopping 43kg of electricals!

Huge thanks to Tim Prater for hosting this bin, and a massive thank you to everyone in Sandgate for your incredible support.

📍 The bin is outside Prater Raines, 9–5 Monday to Friday
🔌 Anything with a plug or battery can be recycled
❗ No light bulbs or vapes, please, and items must fit in the bin

♻️⚡ Your unwanted electricals could be a lifesaver
Those powerbanks you donated? They’ve already gone on to help people experiencing homelessness through the Rainbow Centre. A small item to you can be a huge boost of safety, comfort and dignity for someone in our community.

And anything that can’t be reused doesn’t go to waste. It’s recycled locally in Sittingbourne, where valuable materials are recovered and turned into new things, protecting our planet while keeping electricals out of landfill.

So if you’ve got old tech hiding in drawers, bags or cupboards, why not sort it out and bring it down to our stall?

We pass working items on to brilliant local charities like Sunflower House, Rainbow Centre, Hythe Youth Group and Pilgrims Hospice.

Your unwanted kettle could help someone make a much‑needed cup of tea.

That sewing machine gathering dust in your cupboard could empower a local repair café.

The lamp that no longer matches your new décor could raise vital funds for Pilgrims Hospice.

Broken or out of date? Still bring it.
Everything gets recycled locally in Sittingbourne, where valuable materials are recovered and turned into new things. So don’t forget old phones, laptops, cables, chargers, wires, and that mysterious drawer full of “might be useful one day” tech.

🎶 Your donations are making a difference to local young people!

A generous member of the public recently donated some sound system cables and leads to us. We were delighted to pass them on to Hythe Youth Club, where they'll be used for open mic nights and other music projects for local young people.

It's just one of the ways your unwanted electricals can benefit our community. If an item can be reused, we'll find it a new home. If it's beyond repair, we'll recycle it locally in Sittingbourne to recover the valuable materials inside. ♻️

♻️ Time to Recycle your Electricals! ♻️

Our friendly volunteers will be outside HSBC in Folkestone town centre from 10am–2pm, ready to collect your unwanted electricals for reuse and recycling.

Whether it's:
🔌 A kettle you no longer use but could help someone in need
🧺 An iron that's seen better days
📱 An old mobile phone
🔌 Or just a bundle of tangled cables and chargers...
..we'd love to take them off your hands!

Anything still in working order will be passed on to local charities in Folkestone, giving it a second life. Items that have reached the end of their life will be recycled locally in Sittingbourne, where 98% of the materials are recovered to make new products.

Every item you bring helps reduce waste, conserve valuable resources and support our local community.
