Corporate teams participating in Ride the North started with one in 2011, but steadily increased over the years to reach 18 in 2019. Then in 2020 EVERYTHING got a bit more complicated! Our 2022 'comeback' event did succeed in bringing people back (more than ever before!) BUT corporate participation did not return in anything like the same way (from 18 workplace teams in 2019 to TWO in 2022).
I'm having a go at changing that. For the first time in 10 years RtN has a poster ...and even a brochure too!! I'm trying to find friendly faces who would coordinate a team or would send information around colleagues. I have even gone full 'old-school' with printed information as well as digital versions. I'm desperate to get value for money for my print investment! If you'd be prepared to receive my information pack by post/email (and, where appropriate, send it on to relevant colleague saying "this is the kinda thing we should be doing") then PLEASE get in touch.

I had a super day yesterday up at a Logie Steading’s Christmas Market. Music, food, loads of customers finishing up with wee glass of delicious mulled wine. New for this year are my glass snowflakes, two sizes and various colours, priced at £9.50 and £12.50 presented in their own gift box. Come by and see them twinkle in the winter “sunshine”!!! You’ll find me in the courtyard in front of the Bookshop and in Hellygog. If I don’t see you in the next few weeks, have a Peaceful and Happy Christmas with best wishes for a Healthy and Happy New Year. Many thanks for the support to all my customers over the years. Jen x

Hello and welcome to everyone.

I’ve been busy getting ready for a few forthcoming events this summer. A new range of “Wonky Houses” are finished, ready for sale, see photos below. Priced at £15, £25 and £35 for small, medium and large size. These are all unique, individual scenes using recycled materials whenever possible. The frames can be changed from the existing white to black and vice versa if required. Apologies in advance for my poor photography skills!! the difference in sizes is not easy to see in the photos, sorry!

New earrings are hot out of the kiln too for this summer, photos to follow!

I’ll be up at Logie Steading for the Maker’s Market on 20 July, so pop along and see my new designs. The following Saturday I’ll be through in Fochabers for Speyfest in the Craft Marquee.

In August I’m in MacKenzie and Cruickshanks for their Autumn Fair, the weekend of 17th and 18th August. Please come and say hello.

Lorien Glass are at McKenzie and Cruickshank’s Summer Market from 10-5 pm today. Over 20 different stalls with live music and a BBQ. What better way to start your Sunday off? Lots of lovely, original, unique pieces by very talented people. Hope to see you there. J x

Merry Christmas to all of my wonderful friends and customers who have been so supportive throughout the year. Two main events in 2017 in my Glass life have been getting to grips with using recycled glass, (it has its own agenda shall I say?) and the design and launch of my own website. www.lorienglass.co.uk. Had a wonderful day up at Logie Steading’s Christmas Market. Lots of interesting stalls with unique gifts. I’m there tomorrow from 10 o’clock, next to the Farm Shop. Pop in by and say hello and see if there’s anything that catches your eye.

To everyone who has supported me over the past year, thank you all so very very much. It’s a great feeling to know that something I’ve created in my wee workshop (shed) has gone on to give pleasure to others.
