This month we have been helping a security company in Clacton….nice and local.

Re-terminating fibre cables for some CCTV cameras

2 x 12 cores and 2 x 24 cores…..all different grades of fibre including OM1, OM2….changing all the patch leads to suit the fibre type and testing using the correct launch leads for each type.
A mandrel method was used to take out false readings on setting up a set of reference leads…..

My old City and Guilds training came in handy….

All terminated onto LC and replaced all the enclosures at all points.

Improvements:- all areas now working.
Advice:- replace fibres that are down or part down within a given timescale

An enjoyable project all in all and a great company to work for……

Bridge Networks Ltd turns 30 years old on the 20th of July 2026…..!!

And we are still serving the same client base that has been along for the journey…….

In that time we have gone from installing coaxial cabling to twisted pair cabling and fibre optics for our commercial client base…..and helped with projects like WiFi, CCTV, Projectors, both classroom and School Hall, Touchscreens, HDMi extenders for AV projects….built IT classroom furniture advised on network campus expansion and standards based network configurations with redundant links…..

Clients have included, Art Galleries, Auto motive showrooms, main dealers, Law firms, education sector, local government, building main contractors …..electrical companies, security companies. Data centres….

We pride ourselves on high standards and test everything we install with industry standard testers by Fluke….copper and fibre.
Update drawings….and label everything we install.

It all sounds simple but you’d surprised at what we come across on a daily basis.

Here’s to the next chapter…..onwards and upwards!

CCTV and intruder alarm projects this month and into next month….large install for a London client…..

Part wireless and part wired….the intruder alarm is providing me with a learning curve….🙂

With knowledge of the grade 1 building we are well placed to keep everything hidden….and tied in to BS 6701 standards……

Fluke dsx5000 testing

Nice to be putting the DSX to good use again this week at a high end car repair centre…..Park Royal.

8 x cat7 data installed and tested to cat6a standards….labelled, and results sent over to the client.

Bought a Hilson pipe bender today and the chap was an experienced sparks and gave me a whole load of extras with it……including the cutters for various size tube. And a rachet cutter with four sets of dies….

Luckily they will come in handy for a project that came in last week…..

Can’t wait to get threading and bending….
