Goodbye May, Hello June!

This week has been about sourcing final items for the launch of my gift wrapping kits! 🎁🧚🏻✨

I’ve received some beautiful samples and now it’s time to put it all together so I can start sharing a few little secrets with you all….. but not just yet…. You’ll have to wait a little longer, sorry! 😝😜

So hubby has gone away for the night so it’s just me and my little fairies tonight.

We’ve had pizza for dinner and now sitting down watching Encanto reminding us we all have gifts and talents but we are also part of a community of beautiful people.

Recently, I have started thinking about using positive affirmations to help live a happier and more joyful life. With this in mind, I asked a friend who has been having a tough time whether we should send one to each other every day to help each other. So far, it's brought smiles, a change of mood and provoked moments of inspiration.

In my search for one to send to my friend, I saw this quote and it seemed to resonate with me in so many ways.

- Not only did it remind me that whilst I do lots for my family, they may not notice it or remark on it and that's ok. I doesn't mean that I should stop or be sad, It just means that they have clean clothes to wear (although sometimes not ironed ;)), they eat a balanced diet (with a big love for sweeties and chocolate - whoops!), they are learning new skills and they know that no matter what, I am there for a cuddle when they need it.

- If I make a big effort wrapping a gift or arranging a party, someone may not make a point of commenting on the effort or how it makes them feel, but I know that it brings me joy seeing their face light up when it is handed to them. They may just be swept up in the occasion, but it doesn't mean that they're not grateful. Wrapping a gift is a perfect way to create an experience, showing the recipient how much you care and transform the simplest and most ordinary gift into a positive experience.
