So a thought for a Friday afternoon…

🤝Customer returns 🫶…. Do you see these as

👉A hassle and a nightmare ?
👉Purely as a process ?
👉An opportunity to learn and excel in customer service ?

If I’m honest, as retailer probably a little of all 3, as a customer, definitely the opportunity to excel in customer service .

🫶Anyone who goes that little extra mile and still makes you feel a valued customer while using their own initiative and truly wanting the best outcome for the customer can be the difference between losing a customer or keeping a customer for life and in turn potentially gaining a fair few more .

You remember your last experience - whether that be a purchase or a return - enable your team to make it count !

Have you ever pondered on the link between retail shopping and wellbeing ?”

🛍️It’s been four years since our retail doors were opened, but there are many elements I look back on and realise how invaluable they were to people's lives and wellbeing.

🤝The social interaction we instilled in our team may have truly made someone’s day - we were 100% engaged with our customers, making every possible effort to remember names, family, and life events. It costs nothing but is worth more than its weight in gold to some.

🛍️Even going back generations, 'to pop to the shops' was a way of life and a reason to get up, dressed, and get going. Even the butchers, bakers, and quite possibly the candlestick makers were community hubs.

🥰In conjunction with all of us possibly reevaluating the way we live, work, and how we want our world to be - part of that is community, locality, and therefore our high streets.

So make your business stand out, ensure your customers want to spend time with you, exceed their expectations, and ultimately make them smile 😊"

Good morning !

So here’s my morning thought ? What would your answer be ?

“When you’re a customer, what do you expect your experience to be ?”

From a retail stand point and ensuring we keep
Our High Streets alive , performance by our team and business are pivotal .

This is my thoughts 💭.. how do you offer or include these in your business ?

🫶Be authentic and unique - your customers deserve an experience full of sincerity and character. They will be buying into you and your team as much as your product .

💪Efficiency - ensure you’re enhancing the customers experience by including key mission statements and strategies in your business around delivering efficiency.

🫶Anticipation- sweat the small stuff , remember every detail matters and keep on revising this - from your customers view .

💪Personal- support your team is building unique, bespoke and nurturing relationships with your customers, this is priceless and for me as a customer and an entrepreneur, one of the most important aspects.

🫶I appreciate I touched on this next element in a previous post but remembering your existing clients and building on them through a systematic approach is key to customer retention.

🤝Relationships are king, in whichever dimension of business

As business owners our minds tend to be going ten to the dozen , 24 / 7 with all sorts of random questions , but they’re important , it helps us makes those decisions and gain some focus.
