ACT Security e-learning is now available
ACT (Action Counters Terrorism) Security e-learning is free specialised training for front line security operatives. The custom-built training provides up-to-date counter-terrorism knowledge to help operatives prepare for and respond to terrorist incidents whilst on duty.

To take the training:
1. Send an email to [email protected] with the subject “PIN request for ACT e-learning”. We will reply with your PIN.
2. Go to the ACT e-learning site (https://ct.protectuk.police.uk/sia)

Attention all staff.

As you are aware we are seeing an increasing number of cases of Coronavirus in the UK.
Please find below tips on good hygiene guidance and a video explaining more

General Hygiene

• Wash your hands frequently as the virus can only live on your hands for 5-10 minutes, but - a lot can happen during that time - you can rub your eyes or nose unwittingly and so on. Touching your face can help it enter the body!
• If someone sneezes with it, it takes about 10 feet before it drops to the ground and is no longer airborne.
• If it drops on a metal surface it will live for at least 12 hours - so if you come into contact with any metal surface - wash your hands as soon as you can with a bacterial soap.
• On fabric it can survive for 6-12 hours. Normal laundry detergent will kill it.

Therefore, it is extremely important to upkeep hygiene and cleanliness practices to ensure the prevention of the spread of viruses. This is especially true for construction sites where equipment and PPE can be shared.

Virus Transmission– Do’s & Don’t’s

DO
• Cover your mouth with a tissue or your sleeve (not your hands) when you cough or sneeze
• Put used tissues in the bin straight away and wash your hands afterwards
• Wash your hands with soap and water – do this for at least 20 seconds – use an alcohol-based hand sanitiser gel if soap and water are not available
• Wash you hands after blowing your nose, coughing or sneezing
• Try to avoid close contact with people who are unwell

DON’T
• Do not touch your eyes, nose or mouth if your hands are not clean
• Avoid spitting in public

Well done lads! Great effort.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our General Manager, David Carney.
David peacefully passed away in the early morning on Christmas Day.
We send our love and condolences to his loved ones. David gave his all to Fraoch Scotland from the beginning and played a massive part in making the company what it is today. His presence will be sorely missed around the office and in our hearts. You will always be remembered here.

Rest in Peace.
