We’re incredibly proud to announce that Blu Elkin, Managing Director of DemonEye Group Ltd, has been awarded the title of:

Private Security Managing Director of the Year 2026 – Scotland 🏆

This award, presented by SME News, recognises Blu’s work as Managing Director and the continued growth and development of DemonEye Group within the private security and events industry.

From starting DemonEye in 2022 to building it into the growing group it is today, this is a milestone that means a huge amount to us.

A massive thank you to SME News for this recognition, and an even bigger thank you to every member of the DemonEye team, client, contractor and supporter who has been part of the journey.

This week we’d like to give a massive shout out to Mags.

Last weekend, while working one of our clients venues in Cumnock, Mags was seriously injured in the line of duty. Most people would have called it a night there and then.

Not Mags.

Despite being hurt, she kept her cool, dealt with the situation in front of her, patched herself up, and carried on to finish her shift.

The security industry can be tough, unpredictable and sometimes dangerous, but people like Mags are the reason we’re proud of what we do. Her professionalism, determination and refusal to let adversity get the better of her were nothing short of incredible.

She’s an absolute warrior, and we’re proud to have her representing DemonEye Group.

Please join us in wishing Mags a speedy recovery and thanking her for everything she does.

🌈 Happy Pride Month from DemonEye Group! 🌈

This year, we want to make it especially clear that we stand in support of the trans community. At a time when many trans people are facing increased scrutiny, uncertainty, and division in public discourse, we believe it is more important than ever to reaffirm our commitment to inclusion, respect, and equality for all.

Diversity has always been part of who we are. Members of the LGBTQ+ community are represented throughout DemonEye Group, including within our management team, our staff, and many of the customers and venues we proudly work alongside.

We believe everyone deserves to be treated with dignity, respect, and equality, and we’re committed to creating safe and welcoming environments for all.

This Pride Month, we celebrate the diversity that strengthens our communities and stand with our LGBTQ+ colleagues, clients, friends, and families. We also proudly stand with trans people and recognise their right to live authentically, safely, and free from discrimination.

Happy Pride Month to all who are celebrating.

Changes to our criminality criteria for licencing decisions came into effect on 1 December 2025.

These changes affect how we assess criminality when making decisions about granting, renewing, suspending or revoking SIA licences.

Read the recent blog by Tim Archer, our Director of Licensing and Standards, where he explains why we've updated our criminality criteria and how the changes will impact our licencing decisions.
