Glasgow Climate Week – done ✅
A busy week and always a highlight in the calendar — and this year felt bigger than ever. The theme “Action Builds Hope” really came through, with real progress happening across the city.
We were proud to be involved throughout the week:
🌍 Monday, we attended at - such a brilliant space for sharing ideas and driving practical climate action forward. The particular highlight was Dr Nicola Millard and her insight and perspective on the future of work. All the speakers were excellent and the day was rounded off with a lively networking lunch catered by the amazing Louise and Chris at Nomad.
🌍 Wednesday, Justine shared our circular case study as part of a Sustainable Glasgow event focused on accelerating the Circular Economy in the city. Justine shared insights into the establishment and growth of our refurbishment partnership with Costa Coffee, alongside case studies from ScottishPower and Southside Tool Library, followed by an afternoon of discussion around how to engage communities and accelerate circularity in Glasgow.
🌍 Thursday, Gerry Docherty presented at Barclays Eagle Labs Sustainable Breakfast event. The morning brought together leaders from across Glasgow, focusing on how climate innovation is helping businesses adapt and grow. And Lucy spent the day at Celtic Park, at the Pupil Learning for Sustainability Conference, speaking to young people from across Glasgow about safe and responsible recycling of e-waste, as well as the growing opportunities for green jobs.
We also made it to All-Energy at the SEC, catching up with partners across Glasgow’s growing circular ecosystem. There’s real momentum building, and it’s encouraging to be part of a community turning ambition into action.
Thank you to Glasgow Chamber of Commerce and all the event partners and sponsors for another inspiring week!
