One of the questions people often ask us about our ILM Level 7 for Executive and Senior Level Coaches programmes is: “Will I be supported through the qualification?”

The answer is yes.

The programme includes live workshops, supervision, peer group meetings, tutorials, assignment guidance and detailed feedback.

We know that people often join the programme while managing demanding roles, client work, family life and other commitments. So, we aim to make the learning rigorous, but also clear, supportive and manageable.

The Certificate includes three two-day virtual workshops, four hours of supervision, peer group meetings and written assignments supported by tutorials.

The Diploma includes the same core workshops, eight hours of supervision and two additional three-hour workshops.

Coaching at senior and executive level asks a lot of the coach. It requires presence, confidence, ethical awareness, careful contracting, strong listening, and the ability to work with complexity.

Our ILM Level 7 Certificate and Diploma for Executive and Senior Level Coaches has been designed with that reality in mind.

The programme is not just about gaining a qualification. It is about developing your practice in a thoughtful, grounded and supported way. You will take part in live virtual workshops, coaching practice, supervision, peer learning and facilitated discussions, all aimed at helping you become a more capable and reflective coach.

Our ILM 7 programme enables you to achieve an ILM Level 7 Qualification at Certificate or Diploma level.

More than 127 coaches have participated in these programmes so far, and many of the 22 cohorts have formed active support groups.

The programme consists of:

Certificate
- Three 2-day virtual learning workshops-
- Four 1-1 supervision sessions
- Two written assignments, supported by tutorials

- 4 conference calls with the programme lead

The facilitators are all experienced executive coaches with a wealth of experience to share; they have also held senior positions in organisations, so they understand the leadership landscape.

We're hosting a free virtual information event for our ILM Level 7 Certificate and Diploma programs for Executive and Senior Level Coaches this Thursday, and spots are still available.

It's aimed at people in senior management, OD, LD, or HR who want to add executive coaching to their work, as well as those already working in coaching who want a formal qualification to support their practice.

In the session, you'll get a real feel for what the program involves, hear from ILM 7 alumni about their experience, and get your questions answered by Gwynneth Rees-Kenny, Taylor Clarke's Program Lead and Principal Consultant. You'll also get the details on how to join the next program, which starts in April 2026.
