We are delighted to welcome Chris Strassheim to the Hub International team.

Chris has built an impressive culinary career driven by an unwavering commitment to mastering his craft. From his early days in professional kitchens, he sought every opportunity to learn from exceptional chefs, refine classical techniques and work in environments where excellence was the standard.

His career has taken him through some of Scotland’s most respected kitchens, including Gleneagles and Number One at The Balmoral, where precision, discipline and world-class hospitality shaped his approach to food. His passion for continuous learning has also seen him compete in prestigious culinary competitions, lead his own private chef business, and pursue inspiration from some of the world’s greatest culinary minds.

That pursuit of excellence culminated in a recent visit to Noma in Copenhagen, widely regarded as one of the world’s most influential restaurants. Experiencing the creativity, craftsmanship and innovation that first inspired him as a young chef bringing his journey full circle and reinforced his belief that learning never stops.

Today, Chris moves from a casual teaching role at hub to join us full time as a core member of the Hub International delivery team and will undertake his PDA in lecturing, to pass that knowledge and passion on to others.

His mission is simple: to inspire aspiring chefs to aim high, embrace every opportunity to learn and build rewarding careers within Scotland’s hospitality industry.

We’re getting ready to launch our pre-season Fine Dining Training Series once again, returning to one of our favourite cities in the UK.

Today our latest trainees are getting ready to begin their career at Costa Coffee. Every coffee served, every customer greeted and every shift completed is building confidence, developing skills and opening doors to a meaningful career.
