What a weekend! The Zine fair is now over! I am utterly exhausted. Long, hot days (although I wasn’t working at it today, I went back to have a proper go!)

I’m so grateful for this event! 🙏 Thank you, for accepting me at every level, to my family for schlepping things around and supporting me, to pals for coming along to say hello, to for being great practical support and to all the other tablers, customers, zine fans and fine folk who bought, traded and chatted with me. It was affirming and cheering and gave me a boost! Some of them will hopefully become pals and collaborators!

So you get treated to a tired Rosie making a little comic to try and sort my thoughts out. Short story about the fair: loved it, would do it again, would recommend. Night! 💤

LAST OF THE PRINTING COLLECTED! One more zine available at my stand - silly nonsense poetry by my husband, . It’s very funny and complements my wee comics - but I’m biased… This is the home chaos I’m dealing with. I’ve stood on a lot of duplo - and tripped over a lot more. I need to start putting my toys away…

I also made a couple of very stupid badges, so hopefully someone likes them! I guess all of us are a ☀️or a 💨 at various times, so something for anyone. The seaweed zines are glorious in their colours and the sharp images so I’m happy woth those. Now to just get there!

NEW! Three more zines! These are fresh fresh FRESH off the press and whilst two of them feature comics folk may have seen before, the seaweed zine is brand new! Have a little peep inside then all here.

I’ve still got lots to prepare for ’s Zine Fair on Saturday, (I’ll be at the Briggait in Glasgow, 11-6pm) but at least I’ve got these in the bag! Now for some last minute badge making…

After the zine fair, all of them will end up in my online shop for you to purchase wherever you are! Watch this space! For now, you have to come down in person on Saturday - I’m not there on Sunday!

Ooooh it’s getting close! The zine fest starts NOW and I’m IN IT! On Saturday I’ll be at the Briggait Zine Fair with these NEW ZINES! We have these titles - 1. Good days, 2. Hourly comic day, 3. Union Corner, 4. STRESS, and number 5. You can’t handle the Tooth. That might be my personal favourite so far… There are more coming, but these are the ones that are printed and ready to roll! You can pick up any and all of my wacky little comics - but there’s also a special seaweed based zine a coming down the tracks. Stay tuned!

A bit of the process of making this Union Corner drawing. Have a look back at my reels if you missed it popping up. I did a preliminary pencil sketch but the actual ink drawing was a 2 and a half hour straight session with a brief stop for water in the middle. Well, and a couple of stops for documentation! Once I get to a drawing, it’s usually finished in one sitting otherwise I sort of lose my groove and my desire to get it done. There’s something for me about sitting with the drawing or comic or process and holding its hand until it’s complete. It gives my neurospicy brain maximum possible satisfaction. Yum yum.

📖 Woo! So excited about the Zine Fair! It’s two weeks away and I still have no zines made or prepared! 😬Absolutely flying by the seat of my pants, but I also know it’ll get done. Just gotta cross some fingers. It’s just one of those busy times of year! Many thanks to for including me in their Saturday line up! Come down and see me - and so many other lovely folk - in a fortnight!

I am between studios at the minute, still waiting on any leads coming in. In the meantime I’m working in my wacky bedroom studio (we sleep on a mezzanine lovingly created by and I work in the lower part of the room). But I’ve also been very generously offered a place to occasionally escape to by - a wee, light and cheerful room with a little table and a comfy chair. I’ve been a couple of times as my own desk is cluttered… one of the best things about going there is THIS MUG.

Apparently I am the only person who uses it. I can’t imagine why. It’s irresistible - it makes me feel great. The colours! The weirdy beardy sea creatures! Their inscrutable expressions! Also, if you haven’t seen my new glasses yet, you are welcome! They’re from and I have never made a better life decision than these glasses. And using this mug. Together they make me feel unstoppable!

WOO! HOURLY COMIC DAY 2026 COMPLETE!

I managed to do all my drawings on the day (yesterday) but ran out of time to upload them all. That’s a whole other job really… This year I was out most of the day at Loch Lomond, having a nice wee time with a couple of pals - usually I’m working or predominantly with family. This time I decided to structure the drawing a little more with sticking to a square format and three panel sizes (I made wee paper templates to guide me and speed things up) and I spent WAY less time agonising over any decision; just think about it, do it, leave it. I’d like to do that a bit more in my creative practice.

So these comics are as they appear on paper. I edited out a few smudges, but I think this is the easiest, cleanest HCD I have ever done. I also didn’t pressure myself to get it all out immediately. But in case you were waiting on them, here they are! I hope to get them up on my website by the end of the day too.

In case you wondered about the date change this year, used to be on the 1st of February but was moved to make space (rightfully so) for Black History Month in the US and other countries. Having a load of comic makers (many of them white) sharing their hourlies isn’t really a way to kick off the first day od Black History Month, so the date has been moved by a week.

Just a quick 7 minute* comic I made a few minutes ago when I heard some street drama. Thought it was going one way and it went the other. Gave me a good feeling that I wanted to try and share.

I want to get back into the swing of making quick wee dirty comics again because they bring me joy!
