It’s been hard to switch from 39C on holiday to beautiful Sri Lanka to thinking about Christmas prep in the studio
This is going to be my LAST ever CHRISTMAS Open Studio Event this year!

From Negombo we headed South to Galle for 3 nights - a few hours drive away
Galle Fort, ( UNESCO world
Heritage site) is the fortified old city founded by Portuguese colonists in the 16th century. Stone sea walls, expanded by the Dutch, encircle car-free streets with architecture reflecting Portuguese, Dutch and British rule.
We stayed in an converted Merchants House now a hotel

A few weeks in this beautiful country🇱🇰touring about.
The people are delightful,gentle and full of grace.
Our first stop was a whistle stop afternoon and night in Negombo after our long flight. We took a boat ride on the Lagoon drifting through the lagoon through mangrove swamps and watched the local fisherman finish their day. Lots of monkeys and the birdlife is amazing here .

New Hopetoun Gardens - Edinburgh- one more week for you to visit this fabulous garden centre and see my garden art exhibition ( along with many other artists exhibiting)

This is a beautiful garden centre set in mature gardens , fabulous plants- both outdoor or house plants, a delightful gift shop and also a fabulous tearoom
