Two weeks to go until PBN Glasgow turns one! 🎉

On Tuesday 6 October, we’re celebrating a year of conversations, connections and a growing business community, and we’d love you to join us.

Our anniversary speaker is Colin McKeand, Scotland’s Mister Networking, with his interactive session:

“Is Your NETworking NOTworking?”

You’ve made time to attend an event. You’ve had some good conversations. But how do you turn those introductions into lasting relationships?

Tomorrow night, the doors open for our next PBN Glasgow event.

If you are joining us for the first time, here is everything you need to know.

📍 We meet in The Lantern Room, located above the main entrance lobby of the Annie Lennox Building at Glasgow Caledonian University.

The room can be reached by stairs or platform lift.

🚆 Glasgow Caledonian University is close to Buchanan Bus Station and within walking distance of Buchanan Street, Cowcaddens and Glasgow Queen Street stations.

🚗 There is no visitor parking on campus, but GCU offers discounted rates at:

▪️ Dundasvale

Remember to take your parking ticket onto campus, as it must be validated to receive the discounted rate.

If you purchase products or services for a business, question quotations, negotiate terms or manage supplier relationships, this session should give you something practical to use.

In two days, Shona Motherwell of The Independent Buying Group will take us beyond negotiation theory and put it into practice.

Attendees will work in teams as buyers and suppliers, each with different objectives, priorities and information.

Tuesday is more than PBN Glasgow night.

It is also Results Day for young people across Scotland.

For some, the results will confirm the path they had planned.

For others, they may lead to a slightly different conversation about what comes next.

Qualifications matter, but there is no single route to building a successful career or business.

Some young people already know they would like to start something of their own. Others may simply be interested in business but have no idea where to begin, who to speak to or what opportunities might be available to them.

That is one of the reasons we want PBN Glasgow to be accessible to the next generation of business owners and entrepreneurs.

Young entrepreneurs who are under 25 or at the beginning of their business journey can attend PBN Glasgow free of charge.

This Tuesday, they will have the opportunity to hear practical insight from Rhys Collings of RiseCross on local SEO, Google Maps, lead generation and online advertising.

More importantly, they will be able to meet and learn from the business owners and professionals already in the room.

With only three days to go until our next event, there may be a few people who have seen the posts, considered booking and then wondered what it is actually like to walk into the room for the first time.

The honest answer is that you do not need to know anyone.

You do not need a perfectly rehearsed introduction.

And you certainly do not need to be a regular networker.
