The cacao was lost. Many of you prayed for its return. And now, from the community where it began, this message of gratitude has come back to you.
After more than three months of uncertainty, our cacao finally found its way back to its destination.
During that time, so many of you held this journey in a prayer, a thought, a blessing or a loving intention, hoping that the lost cacao box would be found and returned safely.
This video was recently sent to us by the leader of the cacao-growing community and one of those who works alongside him, offering their own words of gratitude to everyone who supported this journey from afar.
It did not arrive immediately.
For them, there was no pressure to send something “as soon as possible.” It came when the moment felt right.
And perhaps there is a teaching in that too.
Thank you to every person who prayed, sent good wishes, held an intention, or simply believed that this cacao would find its way home.
Your care became part of this story.
And through this experience, we have also been reflecting on something deeper.
Perhaps Mama Cacao is not asking us to focus only on reaching bigger numbers or selling more.
Perhaps she is asking us to go deeper to walk alongside those who genuinely feel called into a relationship of leadership, devotion, responsibility and reciprocity with cacao.
Not everyone will feel called to this path.
But when it is yours, the call can begin to appear in ways that only you recognise.
For us, honouring cacao begins long before the cup reaches our hands.
It begins with how we prepare.
How she is cultivated.
How she travels.
How she is received.
How she is held.
And how deeply we remember and respect the people, land and roots behind her.
Relationship.
Respect.
Gratitude.
Reciprocity.
May every cup remember the hands that cultivated it, the land that nourished it, and all those who helped carry its journey forward.
