GCS Ground works division update!!
The client tasked us with the removal of a failing retaining wall to the rear of a residential block of flats.
So far we have ran in 400 tonnes of crushed material to form the access road, removed 50 meters of retaining wall and its foundations, excavated out to form the new wider and deeper stepped foundations to follow the ground profile and pumped in 130 cubic meters of concrete to form the new mass fill foundations.

Phase two will consist of formwork, RC35 concrete and 10 tonnes of steel instal to create the stepped structural upstand for the new brick retaining wall to be built off.
Updates to follow in the coming months!!!!

Fantastic to see another old building having life breathed back into it!!

One of our cutting squads were out down the shire to trim this brick wall off for the client to allow the site works to progress.

Another project completed by our demolition squad on the outskirts of Edinburgh
On this project we demolished 3 sheds and removed 12000m2 of Asbestos cement sheeting, cut down and processed 1120 tons of steel.

This week we completed the demolition of the lower level buildings at the Old Royal Alexandria Hospital in Paisley.
On this project we crushed in excess of 600 tones of material and moved 800 tons of earth for the client.
Our 14 tonne excavator had its work cut out but still managed to complete the works on schedule.

WE ARE HIRING!!
After multiple contact awards over the past few weeks we are looking to add to our concrete cutting and demolition division.

Concrete cutting:
We care looking for operatives with experience in core drilling, wire sawing, track sawing, floor sawing and robotic demolition.
Operatives will ideally have NVQ2 and full drivers licence. Training will be offered too for the right candidates.

Demolition:
Gold card CCDO supervisors with driving licence required for projects throughout the central belt.
