What a fantastic meeting at The West End Business Connect yesterday.

It was brilliant to hear about the exciting developments taking place across our members’ businesses, with some genuinely significant moments, achievements and signs of growth shared around the room.

We also saw exactly what strong business relationships can create: valuable introductions, quality referrals and new opportunities for collaboration.

These things don’t happen simply because people exchange business cards.

They happen because trust has been built, members understand one another’s businesses and people genuinely want to see each other succeed.

A hugely positive morning and a great reminder of the talent, ambition and generosity we have within this group.

A brilliant feature presentation from Chris Arkley at The West End Business Connect this week.

Chris took us through the history of Clansman Interiors and the longstanding reputation the business has built within the commercial fit-out sector.

We learned about the company’s extensive coverage, the strength of its resources and the real advantage of having its own skilled teams of tradespeople. That capability allows Clansman Interiors to maintain control throughout a project and consistently deliver an exceptional level of service for its clients.

Chris gave us a real appreciation of the scale, experience and professionalism behind the business, while delivering the presentation with his usual warmth and enthusiasm.

He finished with a demonstration of the aptly named “Everything Chair”, which seemed to leave almost everyone in the room wondering how they had managed without one!

A fantastic feature presentation from Matthew Leeper at The West End Business Connect this week.

We know Matthew and Silmaril who our AI specialists, but his presentation gave us a much deeper insight into the person, experience and entrepreneurial journey behind the business.

Matthew spoke about starting out as an entrepreneur at a remarkably young age, building his first business and ultimately selling it for an impressive sum. Just as valuable were the lessons he shared from everything that journey taught him.

We also learned about his educational background, how his current company began and the dramatic way it has evolved to embrace new opportunities and remain ahead of a rapidly changing industry.

With AI developing at such incredible speed, Matthew’s ability to make the subject accessible, relevant and practical is enormously valuable. However, it was the breadth of his experience, his entrepreneurial instinct and his willingness to share what he has learned that really stood out.

Matthew brings a great deal of knowledge and perspective into the room each week. We’re extremely fortunate to have him as part of the group.
