Following an urgent request to support a significant healthcare business at its EMEA Head Office on the back of steeply rising respiratory sickness rates, we were able to provide an effective and energy efficient solution to enhance the air quality across all their busy meeting rooms.

Based on the floor-plan, room sizes, and other criteria, we supplied JADE portable air filtration/purification devices from Surgically Clean Air. These are truly plug, play, and forget, to enjoy the benefits of freshly filtered air, complimenting the existing building HVAC system.

One of our demo Aura Air purifiers is located in a domestic/household setting. This is the pre-filter after only a couple of weeks since it’s last clean (normally scheduled monthly). The amount of large airborne particles (dust, pollen, etc) that it has trapped is significantly more than “normal”, but is attributed to more open windows due to the very warm weather recently. Imagine breathing that in every day! It is eye watering and breath-taking literally!The internal Hepa filter (changed every 6 months) will of course be trapping the smaller, invisible pollutants, which are even more harmful to our long-term health and well-being as they are absorbed via our lungs into our bloodstream and can cause damage to our brain, kidneys, liver, lungs, etc.

Very disappointing... Hopefully, The Scottish Government will see sense and reopen this fund, but with a slicker process, so that more businesses can benefit from the £24M left over in the pot..?

The benefits go way beyond stimulating a return to the workplace/hospitality/gym/etc in the midst of a pandemic. Longer-term, an adequate provision of fresh, purified/filtered air in the workplace (as per current legislation), is significantly proven to improve the health and well-being of employees and customers, increase productivity, reduce sick-leave, improve staff-retention and help attract the best, all whilst reassuring customers and giving your business a welcome edge over the competition!
