Bright Minds

Bright Minds BrightMinds is a student consultancy service based in Glasgow looking for small businesses/charities/community groups in the local area to work with.

We are an exciting project run by students at Glasgow University through the Enactus organisation (formerly Students in Free Enterprise/SIFE). With students from a variety of backgrounds and degree specialisms, BrightMinds can offer you a fresh look at your business problems and use our energy, ideas and resources to try to offer solutions. Think your business/charity could benefit from some local

market research but don’t have the time or resources to do it yourself? Are you stuck in a rut and need some fresh ideas to help you maximise your potential? Do you have a new idea and need some help in working out how to put it into action? Try BrightMinds. It’s a free service run for the good of the community, and there are no obligations on your part – other than an open mind and a few hours of your time – and the benefits could be huge.

Dear Lifehacker, I have been tasked to make a slideshow for an event at work. I don’t want to make a generic PowerPoint with just boring text or pictures. What are some ways I can enhance the slideshow so it looks impressive and knocks the socks off my audience?

Dear Lifehacker,I'm tired of the rat race and have been dreaming about starting my own business for some time. Having never done this before, though, I'm nervous about taking the plunge. How can I tell if starting my company is really a good idea or if it'll be doomed to failure?
