The Pheasant...

An amber flash through frost and fern,
A heavy, sudden, awkward turn,
He bursts from briar, ditch, and shade,
A copper prince in gold arrayed.

With emerald neck and scarlet eye,
He splits the quiet morning sky,
A whirring bolt of rust and flight,
That startles winter into light.

He lands upon the frozen hill,
And all the frosted grass is still,
A living leaf, a vibrant spark,
Defying autumn's quiet dark.

If you have been to visit us recently, you may have noticed a 4ft Hare lurking in our workshop...

It gets a lot of attention, so we made a wee video to show the progression of how this piece came together throughout the year.

It has been a long time since we have had the time to collaborate on a large piece like this.
We have a real affinity for Hares and are delighted as to how it looks so far ( still working on the final details!)

After a bustling summer, we have slightly changed our opening hours for the coming cosy months ... 🎃 🍁 🍂

We're off to have a snooze!

After a wonderfully hectic summer we're taking a short break. We'll be closed Monday 14th September, reopening Monday 21st September.

Our website is still open for orders, but anything ordered while we're off will start getting made when we get back on Monday 21st September.

We want to switch off as much as possible, but any urgent queries will be responded to as quickly as we can.

The Dribbly Yak local business based in Glenarm are doing red squirrel coasters along side lots of other local native wildlife.

This is a set our vice chair Liz Weir - Irish Storyteller got recently. They look brilliant 👏.

Lurig and Slemish!

Two iconic landmarks of The Glens of Antrim.
These are two of our favourite places to visit since moving to Glenarm.

Steeped in history, you can't help but gaze at them in wonder as you drive by (or brave the climb) at what stories unfolded upon these hills in ancient Ireland.

These designs were hand drawn by us and burned onto log slices so that you can own your own little view of these giants at home...
