🪵Why Proper Outdoor Log Storage Matters 🪵

Did you know that how you store your firewood can make a huge difference to how well it burns?

A good outdoor log store does more than keep your logs tidy—it helps them stay dry, improves airflow, and speeds up the seasoning process. Well-seasoned wood burns hotter, produces less smoke, and leaves behind less soot in your stove or chimney.

Here are a few tips for storing logs correctly:
🔥 Keep them off the ground to prevent moisture from soaking in.
🌬️ Allow plenty of airflow around the stack.
☔ Cover the top to protect from rain, but leave the sides open so moisture can escape.
☀️ Position your log store in a sunny, well-ventilated spot if possible.

A quality log store isn’t just practical—it can also be a great addition to your garden, keeping your outdoor space neat and organised all year round.

If you’re buying kiln dried logs you don’t need an open log store at all! With them already being dried to less than 10% moisture you can store them in a shed or outdoor storage bunker 🙂
