Christmas Party Fire Safety 🔥
Party season is getting started and all your guests and employees have the legal right to feel safe while they enjoy the party. In recent years there have been numerous devastating night club fires across the world, through effective fire safety these tragedies could have been avoided.
When considering how your workplace will accommodate party guests this Christmas think fire safety! Causes of fires at events can range from electrical faults, pyrotechnics, or naked flames. Fires can be even more devastating at the Christmas period with increased decoration and stock helping fuel a fire.
Finally, ways of raising the alarm, means of escape and occupancy capacity are among the main causes for loss of life when fires have occurred during party events.

Staying warm safely this winter 🔥
Space heaters can provide extra warmth in a cold office or home. But they can also pose a safety risk - no matter where you use them. Portable space heaters are responsible for 1,700 house fires a year, on average, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission. Fires started by portable space heaters result in about 80 deaths annually.
If you rely on a portable heater for supplemental heat, it is important to make space heater safety a priority.
• Never power the heater with an extension cord or power strip. Plug them straight into the socket
• Ensure that the heater is on a stable, level surface, and located where it will not be knocked over.
• Leave at least a meter space around the heater.

Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II
1926-2022

We are deeply saddened by the announcement last week that Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II has passed away.

An inspiration to our country, her 70 years of service are a testament to her incredible strength, resilience, and dedication, proving her to be a true queen of the people. Our thoughts are with The Royal Family and the nation as we collectively mourn.

May you rest in peace, Your Majesty. We will miss you.
