It's that time of year, time to cut back foliage from the summer growth away from your property, tidy away anything around the base of property, rodents can use this as covered runs. Ensure all waste is stored inside your wheelie bins. Scrub the food residue off the BBQ before you put it away.

Have a check around your property for holes around pipes, vent covers etc, rats and mice will be looking for somewhere warm and dry for the winter, don't make it easy for them.

If you have had new doors and windows fitted, check the fitter sealed under the door threshold, this allows easy access to your cavity.

Store your plant seeds and grasses in metal containers in the shed. Please be mindful wasps are now at the worst stage of their life cycle, they are becoming very aggressive, so caution when putting items away in sheds and loft spaces.

Any problems, not sure, give me a call

I'm also on WhatsApp, if it's an insect problem please use a free magnifier app to get a clear close up, keep in mind sometimes I have to count antenna segments to get an identification.

Wasp season will be starting shortly, queen's are busy with workers building the nest and she will be producing young drones.

It's better to locate nests early, be cautious going into sheds and outbuildings, moving stored items.

Its always a good idea to pop your head up into the loft space a couple of times a year to check for anyother unwanted visitors.
